Publisher's summary

Officer Brian Cordero didn't expect his life to be flipped upside down the day Raphael Ledeo sped past his patrol car in an Aston Martin. It was supposed to be a routine patrol stop, but the moment their fingers touched, his fate was sealed. He'd been chosen as Raphael's mate, unbeknownst to him. Now human no longer after he and Raphael bond, Brian has to figure out how to navigate life as a powerful demon.

And that's just the beginning of his troubles. He discovers that there are eight gates to hell, and one of them - the worst one - is open, and a secret demon-hunting organization needs his help to close it. If that wasn't enough on his plate, his attraction to Raphael grows more intense the longer he tries to deny it. Brian considers himself straight, after all, and Raphael has been the only man he's been with. But can he deny his desires any longer or will he have to finally admit his feelings for Raphael?

Contains episodes: Chosen, Initiated, and Mischief.

WoW

Very interesting world building.

Brian and Raphael are like fire and water and Brian and Adriel are like a volcano and a tsunami. Definitely hot together and definitely sploosh worthy.

Very much hoping I get a chance to read/listen to the rest of the books to find out what happens.

Highly recommend.

Demons walk among us

Wow! What a wild and imaginative experience.
Nicholas Bella never disappoints with scorching sex scenes, off the chart action and supernatural darkness.

Discovering your not only a higher echelon demon but possibly Bi-sexual is one thing; but you have to save the world by recruiting other demons to close the gates of hell, all while feeding on the souls of humans…welcome to Brian Cordero’s world.

This is an amazing series and will keep you on the edge of your seat! Don’t pass it up!

The audible version brings the characters and storylines to life. Top notch narration!

Chosen!!!!

Reading this novel and listening to it brings the story to life. I love everything supernatural and this story did not disappoint. It is not for the faint of heart though. It gritty, sexy, intense, and pushes every boundary there is. Five stars all around! Love love love!

Enthralling

Sexy, imaginative, and best of all dark. A good read to feed your inner demon. Debauchery at its finest.

Thank you for the ACX, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. This series is a must have, after all it where Brian world is about to turn an blow his mind wide open after meeting Raphael. Where meeting the supernatural world with that great mix of heat and death,  a struggle in more then just about the awaking of a sexual desire. Michael O'Shea did a great job with narrating this book, he brings the characters off the page in an wonderful way to listen to.

Could not finish.

Writing was very juvenile. Non consensual sex was cringy. Honestly, I couldn't get past the first 30 minutes. Even the narrator sounded uncomfortable.

Not my cup of tea, milkshake, glass of water...

As we have all done this... Should have read the review and not just gone off the description.

-Audiobook Raphael accent I ASSUME it's supposed to be Italian? Sometimes sounded Middle Eastern sometimes it sounded Italian definitely not sexy.

-this could have been a really good novel the overall theme is good and it's a shame that it was ruined by bad detailing.

* * Spoiler alert * * I'm not sure if the author does not have a clear definition on sexuality and flex but if that's what they were trying to do with the main character Brian it didn't come across. I feel like he needed a preface to set up this world for me. Brian is immature And I just didn't get the setup for him being bi. I feel like I was supposed to assume that everyone in the world is bi but they deny it? I didn't feel before the demon showed up that there was any feelings towards men in a sexual way. Just because someone enjoyed having something up their ass does not make them gay. Prostate play is a thing whether you're gay or you're straight. If you repeatedly hit it it's going to go off right? I don't really think that can define somebody's sexuality as clear as Raphael was belittling Brian about?

And have a preface with a disclaimer because the fact of the matter is it was rape but badly set up not to look like it.

I didn't get through the whole book.
For example is this a episodic series that was crammed into a audiobook novel?
The first part of the novel discussed salary and wages but then the second part came up all of a sudden started talking about the wages as you would expect...no specific amounts. It's almost like the author forgot what they said in the first part and instead of going back and find out what they said about the salary

It was just messy and all over the place I just didn't get it. And if this is the first impression yeah this author won't get a second one for me.
