Resumen del Editor

Loyalty. Family. Power. The Lords of Chaos MC, brothers in arms and blood, are men who take no prisoners. Their moral compass points in whatever direction they choose. So, when the opportunity to gain more money and power presents itself in the form of a favor to a notorious mob family, they accept. To put plans into motion, Noah "Ace" Murphy, Sergent at Arms of the Lords, visits his brother “Dragon” in prison. He gives him the task of killing a DEA snitch who’s under protection there. On his way home later that night, Ace meets a young man fleeing for his life half-naked and terrified. Kenshin Yamoto just escaped the grips of hell, but he isn’t safe yet. With one look into Kenshin’s beautiful brown eyes, Ace knows he’s hooked. He also knows that he’s going to make sure whoever hurt Kenshin, will pay… and it won’t be painless… or quick. After his visit with his brother, Ace, Diego "Dragon" Murphy starts preparing for a mission he knows he can't afford to fail. Killing is what Dragon excels at and he never misses his mark. But taking lives isn’t the only thing he enjoys. When he gets a new cellmate, Dragon is determined to get the man into his bed. Richard Harrison is everything Dragon desires and more, but he’s playing hard to get by claiming he’s straight. Something Dragon won’t hesitate to prove wrong with a simple bet.

In this electrifying tale of crime and passion, alliances are created and destroyed through the pursuit of money and power. Loyalty, Family, and love will be put to the test. "The Road to Carnage Series” will take you on a wild ride through the savage world of outlaws. You're going to want to strap in, this adventure isn't for the faint of heart. These men play by their own rules and no games.

This book is a part of a series where the story evolves as new characters are introduced. HFN/HEA. Not a standalone.

Jump on and get ready to ride!!!

First off I want to say MC trope is normally not my first choice; it’s actually REALLY far down the list. But when Nicholas Bella is writing it…color me VERY interested.

Very much in the style of his New Haven series multiple points of view and story arcs are presented at one time. If you are not used to this style it may take some effort to keep up; but once you are in the grove, you won’t be able to put the book down. This novel had two main story arcs; one inside the club/family and the other inside prison (three members are doing time).

Although many stereotypes for biker clubs are used it flows with the world building. Once the groundwork is laid the stereotypes get tweaked into a more tolerant world where race and sexual orientation are not an issue (which blows many people’s minds…tolerant and progressive outlaw bikers). This makes their stories more interesting and beyond just a ‘gang’, they are a family (some by blood others by choice).

Each character has a story and in this first installment we begin to see lives unfold, yet barely scratch the surface for many of the people introduced. I suspect in future installments we will see more of the other characters come to the surface to tell their stories.

I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!!

I also had the chance to pick this up as an Audible book. Awesome narration! The story was really brought to life. Highly recommend!

Hooked on this series!

I just finished book 4 in the Road to Carnage series, and look forward to more additions. I am conflicted internally by the way the Lords of Chaos MC makes it's living. Selling guns and drugs is morally abhorent to me, yet I ate up the stories in rapid succession, becoming invested in the men, their relationships with their humans considered their "property", and the code of honor and loyalty each member of the club lived by despite the real possiblity of painful death or long incarceration. The supporting cast of women, men and children living with the Lords were interesting in their own right. I cannot imagine living with the people Nicolas Bella created, but again, I enjoyed the series as the life stories of each person were revealed and developed. I continue to admire the steadfast loyalty and honor code each man and woman live by. Maybe that's why I'm willing to suspend my horror of the way the club makes money. In my real life, I would hope for the cessation of selling drugs and guns, knowing the true agonies those things cause real people in America and beyond. The narrator was fantastic, good distinction between the voices of the different characters.

Lords of Chaos and Brotherhood!

Wow, Outlawed is a head spin! An absolute delight. When I first started this book, the writing style reminded me of the old television show “The West Wing” with its fast-paced dialogues and ever-changing camera angles. It just felt like Nicholas Bella was having fun weaving in and out of different characters’ points of views. I love how refreshing this is.
I am not sure how Nicholas Bella does it. Book after book, he creates characters that while flawed, are larger than life. In Outlawed: Lords of Chaos, the characters are fierce, fearless, and sexy as heck. There is so much to love about this book. Can we start with the sexy nicknames? Ace, Dragon, Tank, Maverick and Nine Iron, absolutely fitting for this world of bikers!
Noah, “Ace” Murphy is my favorite character, not only because of his physique, ok, maybe a little bit, but mainly because of the way he swooped in and rescued Kenshin.
Make no mistake, just like all the characters, Ace is a deadly, take no prisoner lord, but he is also compassionate, he lives for his club, for his brothers, and family. “As long as you can be a flamboyant femme fag with a mean hook and can ride a Harley like you ride a dick, you are good”. This phrase from Ace to Kenshin sums up how inclusive the Lords of Chaos are. Pull your weight, defend the MC and your brothers and you can wear all the bedazzled shirts you want.
Although this Motorcycle Club might not be a healthy place for anyone not abiding by its codes, maybe their actions could be seen as reprehensible, however, we also discover that they cannot tolerate cruelty nor injustice. The members have a great sense of brotherhood as no brother is ever left behind.
This is a great start to the series; the audio narration is on point. The narrator does a wonderful job with all the different voices. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Great in Audible

I had a chance to both read and then listen to this story. I enjoyed reading the story for the storyline - a love a good dark book. However, I did struggle with the POV changes. Then intrigued enough to try the audible version, I have to say I really enjoyed. This is my first Keith Folz narration. His gruff voice was perfect for these characters. He did a great job of giving each character a change in voice which really helped with the change in POVs. I definitely recommend listening to this story. I will note that it does leave off in a bit of a cliffhanger. I'm anxious to jump into the next one and see where this story leads.

Amazing listen!

This is such an amazing story. I am already loving this new series by Nicholas Bella. This is definitely a dark story so not everyone is going to like it but I love it. I am just pulled into this world. This is the first listening to Keith Folz and he did a great job with this narration. I couldn't stop listening. Can't wait for more the next one.

OMGOODNESS!

This is a helluva good book that has two amazing stories going on. Two brothers, one in prison and the other not. Both fallen hard for the men in their life and is taking no you-know-what when it comes to protecting them. This is a dark, twisted, highly sexual, book that I highly recommend. The narrator did an amazing job reading their amazing stories. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Pervy, Protective Bikers

This is really two short stories woven together - one a sweet, hurt/comfort of the biker variety and the other a bisexual awakening prison tale. The stories are an interesting contrast as the chapters flip back and forth between the two. Ace and Kenshin's story is sweet, even while being a violent biker story. Diego and Richard's story is a little coercive at first, though steamy, and the story is able to make Diego the more likeable character, even when he's being sort of horrible to Richard. You can't help but root for him. Since this is about an MC there are many, many characters being introduced and it gets a little overwhelming to keep them straight, but the story does a good job with physical descriptions to give them all life. This is only "part 1" of both stories, so it is difficult to fully review them. I thought that meant it would be a trilogy or series, but it's more like the first section of a book. Neither story ended at a natural point, so it feels like they just ended in the middle of the story. There's no cliff-hanger. It just ends. A more complete ending would have been better, but, don't get me wrong, I will be listening to part two. The narrator does a good job with many different characters.

Narration below par

So not feeling this narrative. Where is Matt Williams??? These books need more grit and range than Folz can produce. I will be reading the rest of the series.
