Well... There goes my heart again.. I thought the first time reading this I wouldn't be as wrecked as the second time but how wrong I was. The audio version leaves me in shambles. Nadia and Kace's story just gets so much better being able to listen to it. If you enjoyed reading this you'll love listening to it just as much. But I highly recommend this book, it's one of my favorites! My emotions are all over the place now...

This story grabbed me from the start! The audio is perfect! The cast was phenomenal and portrayed the characters beautifully! Check you triggers because it’s a lot, but a great story nonetheless. 10/10 recommend

Overall, this book kept me hooked from beginning to end—I finished it in one sitting! I really appreciated the author including a content warning for Chapter 31. If you’ve experienced anything related to the events in that chapter, I highly recommend skipping it. You won’t miss any major plot points because Chapter 32 briefly explains what happened in the opening paragraphs.

I really enjoyed the characters and appreciated that the story had a realistic ending rather than wrapping everything up perfectly. The only part I’m unsure about is the ending with him escaping and kidnapping the daughter. I’m hoping Cade gets the revenge he deserves in a future book.

While I enjoyed this story as a standalone, it didn’t leave me with that overwhelming need to immediately pick up Book 2. That said, I thought Book 1 was a solid read on its own and I’m glad I gave it a chance.
