It’s not easy compiling a “best of” list. Our editors, like our customers, are a passionate group. They listen for a living and have a long list of favorites. To hone in on their “Best of 2018” selections they had to create some guidelines. The title had to be a great audio performance and tell a story that educates, entertains and enlightens. And that means it needed to make an impression on our listeners as well, with their feedback figuring prominently into what made the cut.

Audible editors read aloud favorite customer reviews of 2018.

What the editors agreed on is an exciting, diverse group of titles, broken down by genre, which honors the best work of 2018 and helps listeners discover (or re-discover) these outstanding audio experiences. Among the titles chosen are Heavy, in the top spot as “Best Audiobook of the Year,” along with Circe, West Cork, Children of Blood and Bone, Bad Blood, and Educated.
