Inside Audible

A New Look for Audible's People Principles

An employee dressed in all black is walking past a wall in our lobby that outlines all of our people principles and our new design featuring lines in various patterns for each of our principles.

Our People Principles celebrate who we are and where we've been, and guide the way we work shoulder to shoulder to enhance the lives of millions of listeners. They reflect and apply to everyone who works at Audible— the entrepreneurs and operators, the dreamers and the doers, those who have worked here for 20 years and those who have arrived in the past few weeks and months.

Each of our principles and their new design on white posters. Various designs in orange represent each principle as follows: Be Customer Obsessed are a series of arrows stacked into each other to form a circle. Imaging and Invent. Small stacked vertically creates a column that looks like a larger arrow pointing upwards. Articulate the Possible and Move Fast to Make it Real: A series on straight lines, all various sizes, stacked on each other to create a large arrow pointing to the right of the poster. Active Caring: Lines and arrows are creating the classic chevron logo.

Their visual appearance across our workspaces provide a distinctive representation of our brand and its foundation in the spoken word. Each soundwave pattern is generated from the Principle’s headline and variations on the Audible chevron to evoke the spirit of each in a way that is easily identifiable.

Beyond the exhibit in the lobby of Audible’s headquarters, employees and visitors can see the new graphics extended environmentally and digitally into wallpapers, installations, animations and much more around the office.

We hope they’ll inspire our employees to reflect on what each People Principle means to them and how they are bringing each to life every day.
