The story was weird. The main character "El" plays games and somehow Connor manages to fall in love despite their instant arguing and fighting. A stro..Show More »nger more believable storyline where the female character has some sense and the make character responds like a real man would respond not something this unbelievable.
I have to start by saying that I really enjoy hearing both sides of the story. I LOVE when we get told the story from the man's point of view (POV) a..Show More »nd that is what we get here. I will say that we are starting back from the beginning with book 2 and hearing pretty much everything again from Connor's side of the story, however it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth it! Also we get more information and go farther with this story. I can't say a whole lot because I don't want to ruin anything for you, however I love this series and this one is definitely a great one too.
I have to admit that I was so angry with Connor during parts of book 1, though i tried to keep an open mind. I love the way Sandi takes..Show More » us through Julia's teenage years carefully taking us through what goes through a teenagers head today and the decisions they have to face daily. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it as I was afraid it might be perhaps too Y.A. for me, but NO, it was fresh and captivating and I loved it all the way through. I can't wait to see what happens to young Colin. I still love Connor, he's just so amazing and it's wonderful to see how the old folk still have a very young heart and libido, lol. Sandi has once again made me remember how much I love her FOREVER series.
