Phew, I'm exhausted after this listen about very primal alpha male shifters (check out the cover picture girls) and good/evil fae all battle it out ei..Show More »ther against each other or stand together as pack fight pack and fae fight fae. Along with this is the touching, gentle yet sizzling romance as Sean (the Guardian with a big magic sword - come on minds out of the gutter - literally a real sword again check out the cover pic) battles his mating urge to change a mating 'bond of convenience' with Andrea into a true love bond because they both feel the strong pull to mate as the attraction grows and heats between them. There were sex scenes but they weren't too graphic in any way.

It's been a long time since I listened to book 1 Pride Mates so I couldn't remember the storyline at all but this didn't much detract from my enjoyment of this listen so I guess it could be a stand alone listen. however, why deprive yourselves - if you haven't already downloaded the 1st book then I would start there, follow with this one, and sit back and savour an entertaining paranormal tale which, despite being a wee bit slow in parts, is an enjoyable listen. The shape shifting community is made up of warm, interesting and friendly characters that are ready to open their doors and let you see their lives, loves and world.

Can't wait for books 3 Wild Cat and 4 Mate Claimed which were both published in 2012 so come on Audible where are they ?? and they will be followed by book 5 Tiger Magic later this year.

Worth a credit? A good paranormal romance series to get your claws into which was definitely worth a credit so it's a YES from me.

I usually love these types of paranormal/romance books and also anything JA writes is an automatic download for me. But I'm so sorry to say that ther..Show More »e was just something about this listen that missed it's mark with me.

I don't know whether there's just too many sub plots going on at the same time as the main romance - yes there's a thread running between most of the plots but it just seemed a bit disjointed and didn't flow quite right. It had some great characters in it and it was action packed however, it seemed such a fractured story that it failed to make me care enough about any of it. Yes, there was a sweet romance going on between the two main characters - a cop and a were-cat, but even their sex scenes seemed more 'motion' than 'emotion' and, as a result, it failed to grab me.

Worth a credit. Well, if you've been happy with this series then I guess it's a must but this particular listen sadly just didn't really do it for me. However, I will download the next one in the hope of a more focused storyline.

Well, if you've listened to the rest of the series then you know what you're gonna get - were-shifter towns, their inhabitants, their problems and fit..Show More » bodied males (check out the cover girls - well if we have to dream let's dream big!!).

Right from Chapter 1 this draws you in as Eric (alpha were-snowleopard in his 'cat' form) stalks Iona (were-panther in her 'cat' form) through rugged terrain, finally catching and pouncing on her. She is an unclaimed and unmated female who's releasing some strong 'come and get me boys' pheromones and he's picked up her delicious scent and is only too happy to oblige..... but she is fighting her feline frenzy questioning who and what she is. There's a lot of sexual and physical attraction so Eric has to wait to claim her - but can he do it before other wereshifters pick up her enticing scent.

Interesting likeable characters along with some not so nice wolf shifters who become involved in a great storyline that has many subplots - namely; turf war, Alpha dominance, kidnapping (or should I say cubnapping), genetic engineering and, of course, the sexy, lustful romance between Eric and Iona.

Worth a credit? This was a very enjoyable and entertaining paranormal listen so that would make it a undeniable YES to the book and, if you haven't already listened to the others in the series (and you like the genre), then it's a YES x 4 to the whole series. So, do yourselves a favour and download them all - however, this could have been a stand-alone listen but hey life's short why deprive yourselves - download them all then give the tv remote to your husband, order in, get a babysitter (if needed), turn your phone off then my friends..... just sit back and ENJOY.
