Publisher's summary

Aislinn Hennessy pens tales of courage, loyalty, and true love, but her heroes of old are pure fantasy - figments of her imagination. She long ago gave up thinking a knight in shining armor would sweep her off her feet, but then, she never expected to run him off the road, either.

Sir Dougray Fitzpatrick has buried one wife and vows to never love again, but destiny has other plans for this 16th-century Irish lord.

During a battle, a mist separates Dougray from his men and casts him into the future. Dougray must return to Dunhaven and to his century, but Aislinn follows him into the mist, leaving him no choice but to take her home with him.

Conspiracies, feuds, and unexpected violence are commonplace threats, but along the way, Aislinn and Dougray discover a surprise neither one expects: a chance for love even when they're lost in the mist of time.

Author's note: Enjoy Dougray and Aislinn's story again or if you're listening to Lost in the Mist of Time for the first time, enjoy the magic!

Time Travel Romance + Ireland = Perfect!

I really enjoyed this time travel romance set in Ireland. The Narrators voice was absolutely perfect and the story was a good twenty hours so I felt like I got plenty for my credit. The clash of the personalities was really well written and I hope to listen to more by this author and narrator. The villain of the story didn't detract from the difficulties between Ashlinn and Dougray. I'll be honest there were points in the story I cried, 10/10

love overcomes greed

I thought it was so ironic and funny that in the beginning Dougray believed in time travel and Aislinn didn't and needed proof!!! I liked that both main characters were strong and would cut their nose off to spite their fsces. Many try to sabatoge the couple, but the fates win out and finally the attraction can't be denied and the union is consummated. Still others have their own agendas and work to derail the couple. So much betrayal close at hand. smh!! This couple endues a lot emotionally and physically but get a hea. I enjoyed the conclusion. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Almost didn’t finish

I was terribly disappointed in the narrator but doggedly stayed with it and really enjoyed the story. Thankfully not too much sex. I am not a fan of graphic porn in books. The story was more than enough to keep my interest!

Wow!

This is not my usual genre as I don’t do much love and romance. It’s quite long at 20+ hours- I listen at bedtime and have to go back to the point I last remember before falling asleep sometimes, this narrator is excellent!

I loved the setting, the characters, and the story but especially the performance! I’m glad I gave this a go.

Love the Irish brogue!

Wow! I truly laughed and cried, literally. I got frustrated frequently because of the main characters being blind and stubborn, but it goes with the genre. The story was well written and I couldn't turn it off.

Andre McDermott did a fantastic job. I truly loved his accent and his voice has a dreamy quality to it. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical romances and/or time travel.

NEED MORE!!!

This is one of those amazing stories that draws you in at the beginning and has not let go by the end. Just WOW!

This book is for many different types of people. it is definitely a romance novel but not a smut book. Lots of historical fiction and Irish history. Many battles for the warrior class.
Really just a very well written and very well narrated story.

As others have noted, I hope this story continues in some way. The concept is well set up for a series even if the main character changes.

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Characters Become Ridiculus

Short Review: the story is too long and frustrating. The main characters start well but become frustratingly less intelligent, less insightful and less thoughtful. After 7hrs., I gave it a chance, I skipped through 45 chapters.
Minor Spoilers:
There are a couple reviews pointing out our heroines unwillingness to blend with the time she has been dropped into, I disagree with their premise. Our hero did not adjust or blend to this time, the heroines family was accommodating and understanding, assisting him. This time is extremely different from several hundred years ago. The world has become a much smaller place and most of us are more accepting of people who are different. Not so for our heroine, she is dropped into a time known for its punishment of all things unaligned with their ideas of normal. Furthermore she is given no guidance, sympathy or assistance to adjust. Our hero after showing himself to be an intelligent, thoughtful man in present time, becomes a thoughtless, brainless, frustrating dolt in his time. This is where I began to have a problem with the story. Our heroine is a successful author, she has shown herself to be intelligent and insightful in previous chapters. However when she and the hero are transported back to his time they both become unintelligent and thoughtless, lacking common sense. This story became so frustrating I stopped listening after 7hrs. , with 45 chapters to go, and began skipping through. I have listened to books that needed to be 20+ hrs. long. This one did not but it would have been frustrating as a shorter book too.
I would have liked the narrator if he would have narrated the book the way he stated the chapter numbers.
