What a great listen! In a similar vein of FSOG, Bared to you, etc. etc. this book was delicious. It's a quick listen so things get straight to the poi..Show More »nt. I would be remiss not to immediately mention that two seconds in when the male narrator Shane East began speaking I knew this was going to be a scorcher! Grace Grant is good too, but I can't wait to get to book 2 when it's all Shane. I already am intrigued by the characters, especially Ethan---yummy! This seems to be the beginning of a dramatic romance, and I am HOOKED. I listened to this practically in one sitting. As it was coming to the end as I prepared to leave for work, I was almost late leaving because I HAD to immediately buy books 2 & pre-order 3 so my listening wouldn't be interrupted!
This book was PHENOMENAL! I thoroughly enjoyed every second of book 2 in the Blackstone series. Shane East---Ohhhhh Lordy is he an AWESOME narrator!..Show More » His voice is ridiculous--in the best possible way. This second book is even better than the first, and I cannot wait to hear what happens next with Ethan and Brynne in book 3--which I've pre-ordered already. I know it's fiction but, I am always "smitten" by these great male leads in the books I listen to, and Ethan is definitely in my swoon-worthy category of male lead characters. He's flawed, possessive, with a smidge of crazy, but, I love it! The humor that is infused throughout the book had me laughing out loud, and the intensity of their relationship made me hang on every word until the end. This is without a doubt credit worthy or just buy the whole trilogy outright, you will not be disappointed.
If you enjoyed book 1 & 2 then hold on to your seats and be prepared to be blown away by book 3. This one is told in both Brynne and Ethan's POV and ..Show More »it was simply amazing! This is how you write a good trilogy, with the possibility of making it a series. Questions get answered, loose ends get tied up and the main couple get their HEA. If the series ended now I would be completely satisfied. Of course if it continues I will be more than happy since I am so in love with Ethan. Wow! Raine Miller has cooked up one heck of a man.
Overall this was my favorite book of the Blackstone Affair. Absolute perfection.
