This is a good Christine Feehan story, her Leopard series is a favorite. Renee Raudman is an awesome narrator. She doesn't just read the story, but ..Show More »she enacts and lives it. She characterizes the different protagonists with skill.
I enjoy female narrators with a deeper voice that Renee has. She pulls off dry sarcasm without sounding at all whiny. She also narrates the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews - which are also an awesome favorite!
Another good read by Ms. Feehan. It was terribly disturbing to see how sick, twisted, cruel and obsessed a persons family can be. But to be raised in ..Show More »that type of environment and come out sane is truly a miracle. Thankfully Jake, one of the main characters had one family member who over time proved he was unlike the others and pointed Jake in the right direction. The saying is true you can't pick your family but you can pick your friends; the truth of this is shown clearly in this story. The love that unfolds and develops here is not what you will be expecting this is more of a take over.
This book was totally worth the wait! First off, it was great to revisit Drakes' character. Drake and Saria was a wonderful couple and it was nice w..Show More »atching the relationship develop. The story was interesting with many twists. Christine Feehan does it again! Now, I have to wait for Dark Prey. :)
I love the hero Remy and the heroine was very good too. This is the 2nd book as #1 is about Remy's sister. This was a good listen and I chose it due t..Show More »o the alfa male in Remy. Good references to "the Leopard". This is set in New Orleans, and I am not a fan of that accent.
Overloaded with sex, as usual, but more graphic and vulgar. Whiney heroine, ridiculously overprotective hero who treats the heroine like a dull witted..Show More » child and carries her everywhere. Her stories used to be amazing, if over sexed. Now with 4 series on the go she seems more concerned with quantity over quality. And HORRIBLE reader! She sounds constantly on the verge of tears and makes the heroine sound weaker and whiner than necessary.
This series had gotten to be too much sex and no story. this one changed that storyline and there were several plot twist and side stories that made t..Show More »his one of her better books. This series does nothing for her Dark series but it does hold it's own now that this one has upped the game. I was getting tired of so much graphic sex and not much storyline. I have all of her books. every Dark, Leopard, Sisters and Ghostwalkers. I loved most of them but Dark Symphony will always be my favorite. The narration as always is spot on.
