Firstly, I cannot compare this awesome listen to FSOG as I haven't yet listened to the raved over book but all I can do is review this one.
T..Show More »his book totally consumed me as it unfolded to tell the heart renching story of two previously sexually abused people slowly learning to trust in each other, letting go of their pasts and eventually love again. I fell in love with Gideon not because he was handsome, filthy rich, successful at everything he did but because he was sooo vulnerable, caring and thoughtful when it came to Eva. He thought his life was just fine and wanted for nothing....... until he met her eyes - then sparks flew and they very quickly turned into embers which ignited into burning hot flames of passion filled pages.
Good plot, great primary and secondary characters and lots of 'hot and heavy' all go into the mix to create a well written and well narrated exceptional listen.
Worth a credit? DEFINATELY, TOTALLY and ABSOLUTELY YES.
I couldn't wait to hear what happened Gideon and Eva, so I purchased "Reflected In You" for my kindle and read the book at one sitting. I enjoyed Jil..Show More »l Redfield's narration of "Bared to You" so I decided to purchase the audiobook of "Reflected in You" when it became available. I much prefer Jill Redfield's narration to reading the book to myself. This book is fairly well written and moves the story forward toward the hopefully happy ending in book three.
This is such a hard review for me to write. I was so excited to read the “Steamy Conclusion to a Popular Trilogy” as described by Audible. Imagine m..Show More »y surprise to learn that this trilogy is NOT in fact a trilogy and this is NOT in fact the conclusion. Oh it’s steamy, but there is no real ending. Turns out there are in fact 2 more books planned. I must admit I felt cheated. (especially by the author's end comment)
All that aside, this installment was very much like the last one for me. It ran both HOT and COLD. At times the story was really flowing…we were getting answers and some real advancements in the plot. However, most of the time it just felt like so much fluff and filler. I didn’t really care for most of the subplots with the secondary characters either. And as a side note, I really dislike Bret!
I’m giving this one 3 stars for Jill Redfeld’s brilliant narration and for the hot and steamy sections.
