“Earth-shaking…you will flip for this epic love story.”—Cosmopolitan

“Reid’s heartwrenching tale asks if it’s possible to have multiple soul mates.”—Us Weekly

From the bestselling author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo comes a breathtaking love story about a woman unexpectedly forced to choose between the husband she has long thought dead and the fiancé who has finally brought her back to life.

In her twenties, Emma Blair marries her high school sweetheart, Jesse. They build a life for themselves, far away from the expectations of their parents and the people of their hometown in Massachusetts. They travel the world together, living life to the fullest and seizing every opportunity for adventure.

On their first wedding anniversary, Jesse is on a helicopter over the Pacific when it goes missing. Just like that, Jesse is gone forever.

Emma quits her job and moves home in an effort to put her life back together. Years later, now in her thirties, Emma runs into an old friend, Sam, and finds herself falling in love again. When Emma and Sam get engaged, it feels like Emma’s second chance at happiness.

That is, until Jesse is found. He’s alive, and he’s been trying all these years to come home to her. With a husband and a fiancé, Emma has to now figure out who she is and what she wants, while trying to protect the ones she loves.

Who is her one true love? What does it mean to love truly?

Emma knows she has to listen to her heart. She’s just not sure what it’s saying.

Beautiful story

I truly loved this book. I don’t want to give too much away but it ended exactly how I hoped it would!!

My first book of the genre

Not terrible. Not amazing. I'd have structured the story differently, but meh for me overall. I don't know if I'd recommend this as someone's first read into the genre, but it couldn't hurt either.

I really loved this book.

I liked this take on love. Not your run of the mill happy ending, but a happy ending nonetheless.

Love

I truly loved this book. I loved that it was told from her perspective and not his. I don’t know if TJR has ever lost someone but the way she describes her thoughts about losing the love of her life is spot on. I lost my husband 9 months after we married when I was 22. I could not have written or explained these thoughts and feels any better than she did. I loved it. It was a beautiful story.

Kind of blah…..

I loved the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I am so glad I read it first because if I would’ve read this book first, I would have never picked up this author again. This book was just okay and was an easy read but lacked real storyline. Another review compared it to a Lifetime movie and I totally agree.

Ouch!

I've never been so physically affected by a story before. There was a moment that I actually hyperventilated and felt cold. It was painful and beautiful, and the author stayed true to the characters.

LOVE! Couldn’t stop

I became obsessed with this book and finished it in 3 days. It’s so good!!! One of TJR best for sure! And I love the narrator, JW, she does a fantastic job as always. Must read! Plus the conversation at the end with the author and narrator is really cute.
