Publisher's summary

Miller:

When Talon left to play pro ball six years ago, the hole in my chest confused me. I focused my heartache into making my own NFL dreams come true, and by the time I was drafted, the longing I had for my best friend was buried deep. Now, he wants everything to be like it was in college, but we can't have threesomes and be reckless like we once were. The media storm would be enough to break both our careers. That's not my biggest concern, though. The torch I had for him burns brighter after so long apart, and there's nothing I can do about it. Marcus Talon is straight. I need to stay away from him.

Talon:

Years ago, Miller and I made a pact that we'd win a Super Bowl together. When I'm offered a position on his team in Chicago, I don't hesitate. I move across the country to chase a dream that's a decade old. Only, now that I'm here, he's avoiding me every chance he gets. If he was anyone else, I'd cut my losses. But this is Shane Miller - the guy who makes everything better just by existing in my universe. The guy I'd do anything for. The guy who's more to me than a brother, a friend, or even a teammate. I'm not going to let him get away.

Re-Read via audible 3 years later

Came back to listen to this in preparation for a new book in a series that continues the couple’s story.

Another Great Addition to the Series!

Talon and Miller are fantastic together. I love their friendship, and how they both came to terms with being in love with eachother they’d actually really realized it, or thought a relationship could happen between them. The connection between the characters and their romance was so enjoyable, but I also enjoyed a lot of the backstory though I was a little disappointed the original dream didn’t come into fruition, but it’s open ended enough that it just may happen for these two next year even if us reader won’t get to read it. I personally am thinking of it as headcannon. I have to say Alexander Cendese and Iggy Toma did an excellent job. I think I’ve said in some other reviews but they are definitely one of favorite narration duos, they simply never disappoint and always elevate the story as a whole. Another great story from Eden Finely!

Heartbreaking at times

Really had me in my feelings with how they had to hide. It sucks. I was surprised they didn’t magically win the games like they wanted to lol I just wanted everything to work out.

Good Book!!!

Honestly, not my favorite in the series but as always it was a good listen. Can't believe i found myself identifying with a 6ft 5in football player (being a short plus size woman) but i did.

Good story. Great narration.

So much sex and drama... The story was fun, and the narration was well performed. I enjoyed getting to know Talon and Miller. They have a fun dynamic, and their chemistry generates quite a bit of steam. The story had a few preachy moments, but I suspect that is a reflection of Eden Finley's attempts to make a few points explicitly clear.

Overall, the book was an enjoyable read/listen, and I will be hunting down more books written by Eden Finley. I am already a fan of the narrators Alexander Cendese and Iggy Toma.

Best friends to lovers!

Talon and Miller’s story was very enjoyable, best friends to lovers. A bit slower than the rest but I still really liked it.
I love the friend group which mostly feels like a family at this point, I like how supportive everyone is.

A great couple complete with football

This is by far my favorite Eden Finley book. both Shane and Marcus are just to hot and yummy for words. their story is so good that it would make even the most critical person to stop and reconsider their 1st choice of verbal judgement. I highly recommend that you buy this book and enjoy.

Talon and Miller

I really liked this one, I do love me a second chance romance! Although Talon and Miller were never really in a relationship together, they've always been closer than your average friends, at least the years they were in college together. While Miller has always known there was more to his feelings for Talon than friendship, it takes them finally being reunited after a few years apart for Talon to see what's always been right in front of him.

I enjoyed the journeys of self-discovery both these men went on through the course of the book. Talon, with his feelings for Miller and realizing, and accepting, it was more than just friendship; Miller, dealing with his injury and what it meant for his future, as well as these new found feelings between him and Talon.

I liked the easy relationship these two had, from being such close friends.
It's fun to think back on scenes with Talon and Miller in previous books in this series and realize now what was going on between them!

Iggy and Alexander were great once again! I've spaced out (not that kind of spaced out!) listening to this series so that I don't get characters mixed up- that can happen when the same narrators are used in a series that features different couples, but listening to books with different narrators in between helps!

Talon and Miller

Talon and Miller are my absolute favorite couple in this series. Talon is wild and he need Miller to tame his crazy butt. The narrators did a great job with them

Confusion

Even though both narrators are excellent, having both play the two main characters, makes it confusing
