It wasn’t far into this one that I realized I wasn’t the target audience for this romance. However, as someone who is too stubborn to DNF anything I completed it. I’m glad I did. This book was cute and the narrator did a wonderful job. The story line was sweet and while my favorite character was Wes and not the main character it still was a good listen.

It is funny and doesn’t push any agendas you see in so many modern movies and books. It a throw back to how innocent teens were years ago but set in current times. Really good read hate to see the kids grow up so soon in the book

Reminiscent of the great rom-com movies of the 80’s

Witty dialogue and banter, many laugh-out-loud funny lines, narration was excellent. Spice level is subtle, no major spice. Highly recommend this to any reader of any romance genre.

This is not a book type that I would choose to read, but I am still giving it 5 stars because it does well what it sets out to do - be a cute young adult romance that is self aware of its tropes. The MFC makes the kinds of mistakes you would expect a teenager to make, the situations match what happens in high school, and it all comes to an HEA.

Pacing is good- finished the book in two sittings.
