I liked the story overall but found that it drags on a bit and could've been more condensed - the author takes a long time describing the feelings and thoughts. The ending is a little rushed but good.

Ok, ok. He’s a sinister psychopath. It’s exhausting and unrealistic how far the doctor can and does go to ruin this woman’s life. And for what, because she reminds him of someone. I couldn’t even finish.

I read a lot of psychological thrillers. Though this one was a little more mellow in delivering shocking twists & turns it had a realistic vibe that was truly terrifying. Imagine a Doctor who's twisted obsession coutld alter your whole world.. The pace was easy to follow and kept me engaged the whole time, I found the narrator hard to understand at times, I had to listen closely for whatever reason sometimes those British accents don't go over my speakers very well but headphones made that a easy fix.

Everything. Just everything is perfect! Get ready for a roller coaster ride with this one! You WILL NOT want to stop listening! The narrator was superb; smooth and elegant. Amazing!

The characters were well developed, some likable and at least one very unlikable. Tension kept building and kept me engaged in the story. I enjoyed it and will definitely read this author again.

Really enjoyed this book. One of the most evil villains I’ve ever come across! It’s definitely a binge listen so get ready to stay up late into the night. Excellent narration and great plot. Bravo, Peter James. Highly recommended!

while it was a slow beginning I'm glad I continued to listen because it was a nail biter gept me on the edge

the way the main character manipulated the situation to make his plan happen and how he almost got away with it
