Publisher's summary

The shifter world is running out of time…and so am I.

Maxim Thorn is a dangerous—even deadly—man who betrayed my trust and the love growing between us. But compared to his brother, Bane, my alpha kingpin is a freaking teddy bear.

Bane is pure evil and out of what’s left of his mind. And now, I’m his captive.

It’s looking like there’s no way out when an unlikely ally emerges, promising to help me subvert the dark prophecy that has me in its crosshairs.

All I’ll have to sacrifice is a piece of my soul and the man who would have been my fated mate....

But can I doom the person I still love to an eternity of suffering, even to rise as queen? Or can I find another way to stop his brother before it’s too late?

*This is book three in a quartet. It ends in a cliffhanger.*

Willow's turn to shine! Can't wait for more!

Wolf Queen by Bella Jacobs is the third book in the Wolves of New York Quartet, and this wild, intense ride picks up right where Wolf Pawn left off. The plot thickens even more when upon Willow's escape from Maxim she is kidnapped and learns there are many more dark dangerous plans in store for her. Maxim struggles with his own terrors and is injured badly. Willow can sense danger, and when she stumbles upon Maxim in distress, they realize their fated mate bond needs to be stronger than ever.

Lili Valente and Jason Clarke narrate the audiobook, and both continue to bring heat and passion with their performances. Lili's ability to capture Willow's strength and wit was spot on, and had me cheering for her to find a way to get back to Maxim! Jason shows a softer, vulnerable side to Maxim in his performance that will make your heart melt.

I'm looking forward to the epic conclusion in Wolf Mate!

The Saga continues

Storyline is exciting, so much going on that it successfully holds my interest. Narrators are perfect for this series, especially Jason; I just love his voice and he makes me laugh 😂. Only one more book until series ends. Onto the next book!

Fantastic narrators!

I got completely wrapped up in the first two books in this series and I thought this one was going to wrap up Maxim and Willow’s story, but holy cliffhanger there’s one more book!
This book picks up with Willow and Diana running from Maxim’s pack but their escape is short lived. When they find themselves captured things turn from bad to worse with more lies and double crossing.
With the way this story ends I super excited to jump into the next one.

Excitement continues!

The excitement continues in this series that is excellent! I played 1-more chapter until the wee hours because I just couldn't stop! Lots going on that I did not see coming with the fated mates, end-of-the-world, plot-twisting goodness! Lili and Jason are once again fantastic & the reason I picked this series!

Willow and Maxim’s story just keeps getting better and better

I loved, loved this third part of Maxim and Willow’s fated mates, wolf pack shifter romance with a side of crazy prophecy. This book is part three of a quartet and ends on a cliffhanger. As long as you are aware of that you’ll enjoy the continuation of the story. The story starts right where Wolf Pawn left off. Maxim and Willow learn more about what they are up against and the steps their enemies are willing to take to fulfill the prophecy and their level of crazy. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, exciting action, danger, strong friendships, painful pasts, mystery, evil actors, plot twists, imperfect characters, mystical prophecies, and even a few chuckles. The book is well written, with witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. I am usually not reader of books that end on a cliffhanger but this series is too good to pass up. Onto the book 4 and the conclusion.

Lili Valente and Jason Clarke once again did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly. Hearing the story as the suspense and danger ramps up just added to the richness of this story.

Getting Darker

More pieces of the puzzle are falling into place. Maxim was not likable after the events of “Wolf Pawn.” But, like Willow, my anger was quickly overshadowed by compassion and a sense of urgency as bigger events unfolded. This story is engaging with plenty of twists and turns. Yet, there is also enough steaminess to keep me interested. I’m starting to feel connected to the characters and have developed a loyalty to the ones I like. There is clearly a “good” side and a “bad” side here. Things started getting dark in the last book, but this one kicks it up by a few more notches. One of my few triggers is torture, which this book has. It was moderate, as *most* of it was vague and off the page. But for others, it may be good to be cautious.
