well I wasn't expecting that ending there. the ending was a big plot twist for me. but I have to be honest it make me want to listen to the next book. this book is really good you guys are going to enjoy it. I promise you. the narrator did a good job too.

ehh I wouldn't buy it again

I bought the second one hoping it would get better. I almost never dislike the relationship between the love interests but I want her to dump him constantly. he calls her annoying and talks about wanting to hurt her. other than their "mating" bond there is no reason for the two to be together. he doesn't seem to like her in any meaningful way, just him being sexually attracted to her. I kind of hate this TBH. I hope she finds someone better but seeing as though I am halfway through book two, I don't think I will finish the series. it's just too disappointing. This is his long lost love and he spends most of his time being mean to her or teasing her. I just don't get why the author would think this is enjoyable.

loved this. everything was good. narration. story. the world she created. the sex scenes were good too. been a minute since I've actually listened to a book in the same genre as this that was as engaging as this one. super easy read. looking forward to more from this author. She seems to be new and an up and coming author. So far, I approve.

Really Good!

This is the first book I listened to by this author. I really enjoyed it. It was different and I got drawn in from the beginning. The narration was really good. I thought she did a good job with all the characters. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

A very entertaining story and great start to this series! Narrator does a fantastic job with the characters and bringing this book to life. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

New favorite book alert!

This is one of my all time favorite books. I totally thought this book was some odd Peter pan retelling for some dumb reason, maybe TikTok misled me a while back. It has nothing to do with that at all! And it's fantastic, I cannot believe I waited till now to indulge. Seriously, if you've been on the fence this is your sign to take the time to read this book.

This story is about a woman who grows up as a ward to the weapons master on palace grounds in the human lands. She has secretly been training with him, dressed up as a man because women aren't allowed in these lands. Not only can she kick every man's ass in combat but she is snarky, a bit wild and has been cooped up waaay too long. She ends up accompanying the prince and his guards on an away trip, her "father figure" unwilling to leave her behind. During this trip she sees a man stalking the prince. She attacks the man only to realize he's fae and they kick the shit out of each other. She steals his dagger and a game of cat and mouse begins. Her adventure unravels her mysterious past and unlocks her importance to the realm.

Can't WAIT for the next book. That prologue left me riddled with anxiety and excited for where this series is headed!

Worth it

I gotta say, it’s a great read and enticing story, I’m excited for the next. But I did think it was a little short. Also, if the storyline wasn’t as good as it was, I would’ve stopped listening. The narrator is awful, she sounds blah and monotone most of the time

Absolutely Loved It

I fell in love with the characters immediately, and the spicy romance between the characters made me want to keep listening and not put it down. the narrators did a great job with the characters. It's worth every minute or your time!
