Not sure if the narrator ruined it for me

Heavy breathing by the narrator was super distracting. It got to the point where I found myself thinking about how annoying the breath sounds were to the degree that I was missing what was actually being said. Also, I’m not sure if a “punchable voice” is a thing or if the narrator was just able to make the MC sound that obnoxious, but I really didn’t like the MC in this one.

My confusion comes from remembering that I liked the first 2 books, but I didn’t listen to audiobooks for those 2. So maybe it is just the narrator? Might try rereading it myself on kindle at a later date. As it was, I had to push through my annoyance to finish this one.
