Not entranced
Not a favorite of this authors books story line very dark throughout most of the story and just did not captivate my attention as her books normally do.

I finally own the Audible Verison
I have the entire series in paperback for over 20 years. Listening to it on Audible instead of reading it made realize I missed a lot of stuff while reading it. While not my favorite book in the series, I did enjoy it. It had a great mix of romance, tragedy, and adventure and it's a great lead in for Book 2, Storm Winds, which is my favorite of the series. I've read that book more times than the others.

So different from what I usually expect from this author. I guess everyone must have the chance to explore other sides to their
The storyline wasn’t what I was expecting. The characters just seemed to fade away in the end after having been more solidly developed throughout the book. Not a favorite! But, I will consider Book 2 in hopes it will reaffirm my faith in the author.
