Great Story

Well worth the credit. Good epic story, interesting power system, and great pacing. The narration was well done.

Good story, good themes, I enjoyed it.

Some people just get off on being critical and making comparisons. Don’t listen to the negative. If you listen to enjoy, you will enjoy this series.
It may not be masterpiece category, but it is definitely not dull or witless.
Adam Gold’s voices are pretty dang good. He on occasion might be a shade over dramatic when reading the narrative, but his delivery of the characters lines had me looking for other books performed by him.
I, all things considered, think this book/s is a tremendous value credit.

Thoroughly enjoyed

So many unexpected twists to stretch the imagination. A little bit of a slow start, but it's intrical to the story, so keep reading even if you're tempted to stop in the first few chapters. Narrator is very good. Character voices are unique to each person & consistent. Once the story gets moving it doesn't let up, & the author has an interesting & effective "tension building" ability without you actually noticing until it's resolved. Def a good read.

Excellent narration, good story, but not great

this male narrator had excellent female voices. i kept wondering if it were a multi reader performance.

the story seemed to borrow various elements from Brian Sanderson

Great job!

I was a little skeptical about the powers used in this trilogy, I enjoyed the different powers the hero’s used. I’ve listened to a lot of fantasy books, This book was a total surprise, I listened to the whole trilogy in a few days. Very good story and great performance. Highly recommend.

Have listened to this series twice and enjoyed every minute.

I will be honest and say that I originally picked these books for the length of listening time for 1 credit. I have over 1600 titles in my Audible library and I like listening to longer books. I was immediately captured by the characters and unique world building. I consider myself lucky for chanced upon such a jewel. I have listened to this series twice and enjoyed every minute of it!

A fantastic piece of fantasy

Overall Thoughts:

This story was fantastic. From characters to plot, worldbuilding and scenes of epic proportions, the whole of it was awesome. But honestly, it was the little moments - those the intimate moments between characters and self-reflection - that really drew me in.

Rating:

There was not a single part or moment that felt askew or too me out of the story. Kris might be one of my new favs, with Willow right behind him. 5/5 for me.

Narration:

Adam did a stellar job, and with the multitude of character accents, dialogue shifts, emotional gravitas, I never felt like it was jarring or miss-timed.

I would 100% recommend!
