Entertaining-sweet story

This is a perfect crime story for a woman like me who doesn’t want to hear about eyes being gouged out and fingers being cut off! But if you want a realistic story, it’s probably not for you. The author kept it exciting-even if it’s not as realistic as a crime author would write. I really enjoy Michelle Griep’s writing style.

Good, except for the narrator

The story is good and very enjoyable, but I had to force myself to listen to it because, while her overall reading was fine, I’m sorry to say the narrator is terrible with English accents. It was so distracting! I see there is a sequel, but I will probably try to get my hands on a hard copy or a Kindle version if it has the same narrator. I’d like to hear her do a book with only American accents. I think she’d do well at that.

This was so much fun to listen to! It's fast paced, exciting, suspenseful and romantic! Michelle Griep never disappoints...she is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! I guarantee you'll love this one!

Wonderful story

Once I got into the story I found it very entertaining and the end was not your typical romance and I just loved it. Sorry no telling the end I want you to enjoy the surprise.

A fun little mystery

A Victorian setting rife with underdogs and mystery. Really enjoyed this book. Made me laugh a little at times all the while trying to figure out the “whodunit” aspect.

Loved it!

Wow! This was an action-packed, fun-filled ride through the underbelly of Victorian London. A great book to listen to as well. I loved all of the accents and was caught up in the story so much, I finished the book without stopping!
Poor Jackson got a demerit moments after putting on his "blue, woolen dream.)
I loved Kit. The way she cared for people and her struggle to help them, the only way she knew how.
I will definitely be listening to this story again and again.
*Edit* I started listening again and forgot to mention that I LOVE all the old word usage.
I've begun saying "I don't give a fig-knackity about things."

The story is full of surprises. There is lots of action without being crude. I always wanted to know what would happen next.

A fun, exciting adventure with wonderful characters. Fantastic narration. Very Dickens. Would love to see a sequel come out... another adventure with these two! :)

Wonderful characters

I loved the suspense and the sweet love story. Different twists and turns in the mystery that made me want to read past bedtime. No gore or bad language.
I look forever to reading the best one.
