Who is more stubborn.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. This is book six in a series, while the books stand a lone they run at the same time. The world is with dragon shifters in a world where women need to be brought to them as they have few females born to them.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Stubborn Lord?

When they both determined she had to leave with good reason--and that there feelings had changed. Was it too late for them?

Which character – as performed by Mason Lloyd – was your favorite?

Kendle. She was not a virgin bride, however was a strong woman who had handled her family with her worthless father and younger sister for years. Now she had to come to terms with being taken from them and what to do with a man who she could care about--hot guy but she could not be wife sitting around being taken care of.

Any additional comments?

This was another great book in the series. I loved going back a couple of years after reading it and listening. Mason Lloyd is a great narrator and was easy to listen to, made each character distinct as well as the narration with just the appropriate amount of drama. This is a heart recommend from me.

Would you listen to The Stubborn Lord again? Why?

I would listen to this again because I enjoy listening to this narrator also because it was such an amazing book. I found this book funny, adventurous, romantic and purely entertaining. The story itself was entertaining, but what made me laugh from beginning to end was the narrators female voice (Kendall'). In my head everyone sounded different of course, but I enjoyed all of his variations of the characters voices and would gladly listen to him recite a grocery list 😊

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This was a book I actually finished in one sitting. I put it on and began doing chores and time went by blissfully fast.

I loved listening to a story I already read more than once and I loved reading and listening to Kendall's and Alek's story. Pairing and awesome story and a talented narrator made one hell of an audible ☺

The Draig Goes Off World with His Bride

The Stubborn Lord is Kendall Haven's story. From the last book, His Highness The Duke, Kendall was a mysterious character. Most of her explanation to her story was complicated. Now the readers will know that Kendall is a victim of circumstances. Her father has pawned her off to pay his gambling debt to the casino. Her fate is unknown but Kendall does ended up on Qurilixian.

Lord Alek, the younger Duke of Draig, was looking to another another year of not finding his soulmate. He wasn't planning to go to the bridal ceremony but then again, he wasn't planning to find Kendall, his soulmate.

Alek doesn't express his feeling very well through words. He is a man of few words. He assumed alot of things about Kendall. When Kendall asked him to take her home, he assumed that Kendall doesn't want to stay married to him.

Mirek, Alek's brother and also a diplomat, was able to tell Alek his faults and pointed Alek in the right direction to win Kendrall over.

What I like about the story is that the world of Qurilixian is expanding into the universe. From the first four books of the Dragon Lord series, it seemed that the stories were going to stay on Quirilixian. There is Roina's story and now there is Margot's (Kendall's little sister) story that the readers will want to follow and find what happen to these two characters. There is also some indicated regarding the fourth brother who is considered a traitor by Draig for siding with the Vers.

The Dragon Lords series is quite addicting. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Loving this series

I’m really loving this series! Stubborn Lord is the story of Lord Alek and Kendall. Lord Alek isn’t really looking for a bride after all he’s got work to do. When he runs into Kendall and everything is turned on end. Kendall doesn’t know how long she has been away from home or how she’s going to get back, she just knows that she has to get there. Alek and Kendall are fiercely attracted to each other but have a long way to go. I loved how towards the end Alek surprises Kendall and is there for her.

This is the 6th in the series, but I didn’t need to listen to the 5th before this one. The first 4 in the series are a different direction and aren’t necessary to listen to Stubborn Lord.

this was a great read, the byplay between the main characters was a hoot. i really liked that they had spunk, and that the lord was so confused. it was hilarious.

Nicely done star crossed lovers

Different cultures, different priorities, one huge connection. Alex and Kendall are pulled apart and come together in spite of it.

Awesome series

The Stubborn Lord is book 6 of the Dragon Lords series by Michelle M. Pillow. It tells the story of Kendall Haven and Lord Alek, Younger Duke of Draig.

Kendall is kidnapped and drugged by thugs claiming her father bet her on the Larceny Casino Ship. She’s then sold to Galaxy Brides Corporation.

Lord Alek, Younger Duke of Draig, has given up on finding his life mate after having gone through 4 attempts. But out of family duty he attends the bridal ceremony again. Then he sees Kendall and knows she is his mate.

I love these characters. They are so fun, spirited and stubborn. The men are sexy alpha dragon shifters. The women are strong, spunky, independent women. The stories are fresh, action packed, funny and romantic. Everything you could want in a book. Great series. If your not reading it yet you need to start now.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is another amazing Dragon Lord's story. Alek may be stubborn in showing how he feels but once he starts showing his emotions it is amazing. Kendall is a truly loyal daughter and sister. She will go out of her way to help the one's she loves even at the expense to herself.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Stubborn Lord?

One of my favorite moments is when Alek tells Kendall he will stay with her off world even though his life and family are black on the planet.

Have you listened to any of Mason Lloyd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I love Mason Lloyd as a narrator. He does an amazing job of separating the characters. Some people, be it male or female have a hard job trying to do the opposite sexes voice. Not that he sounds girly but I just love listening to him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved this story. It made me sad when we found out what happened to Margot but we do not know where she is at. I cannot wait to read her story.

Repossession finds love with a dragon

If you could sum up The Stubborn Lord in three words, what would they be?

I would sum it up with Honor, Selflessness, and Determination. Alek acts very honorably throughout the story. He is very selfless when it comes to Kendall and her needs. Kendall's determination to fulfill her responsibilities to her family.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved that Alek was willing to let Kendall leave to make her happy. He was willing to put her needs first before his own.

Which character – as performed by Mason Lloyd – was your favorite?

Mason did such a great performance of Alek. He really brings Alek to life as I listened.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to this book all in one sitting. It's a wonderful story...short enough that you can finish it in one day but long enough that you get sucked into the story.

Kendall Haven has been repossessed because her father gambled her and lost. She wakes up on the Galaxy Brides ship heading to Qurilixian to participate in the Draig Bridal Festival. Kendall only wants to get back to the fueling station her father owns since she has a little sister she must take care of. Once the ship lands, Kendall sneaks off the ship and runs into the forest so she can try to find another ship that will take her back.

Lord Aleksej, Younger Duke of Draig, is not looking forward to another Bridal Festival. This is his fourth festival and he believes it will be another unsuccessful year. He has lived honorably but is losing faith that he will ever find a wife. Instead of going into the temple before the ceremony, Alek takes a walk into the forest. He rips his crystal from around his neck so he can leave it in the forest but is shocked when his crystal suddenly begins to glow. He tracks Kendall down and talks her into her going to his tent while he goes back to the festival.

While in the tent with Alek, some of the Galaxy Brides people come looking for Kendall since she wasn't part of the bridal procession. Alek explains to them that Kendall is his wife and is able to get the tracking device from them. He convinces Kendall to complete the ceremony the next morning. Kendall is still determined to go back to the fueling station.

Will Alek ever let Kendall go? What does Kendall find when she gets back to the fueling station? Guess you will have to listen this to find out.

This is a wonderful continuation of the Dragon Lords series. I loved this story about Kendall and Alek. He is so tender and loving with her throughout the story even though he knows he will be alone the rest of his very long life if she ever does leave. I cannot wait to see what happens with the next brother in series.

Exciting, Romantica, Entertaining

What did you like best about this story?

I love being immersed in the world of the Dragon Lords that Michelle Pillow has created. With each new book in the series this world is expanded, there is another storyline with an awesome hero and heroine, and the background story and other characters all weave together for a great reading experience.

Have you listened to any of Mason Lloyd’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to several other books from this author using this narrator. Although this book was a bit better I find his female voices lacking and strange and his males all sounding like they are from Russian or Romanian background. Perhaps this was purposely done but it was far from how I heard them in my head while reading.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I enjoyed reading this book and did want to listen on one sitting, it's a good story.
