pleasantly surprised
The series has, action, adventure, romance all in great detail, specifically with what powers each entity possess. Plot twists add shock value and the "lusty bits" are pretty frequent for those who enjoy that material. ( I fast forwarded after the second interlude) My only complaint would be the cliffhanger ending. Other than that I highly recommend!

Perfect! Love the audiobook performance that was done and overall the story of course doesn’t disappoint. The author has an amazing creativity. The world she created just sucks you right in and the characters are something. Love the main characters. Can’t wait for the next audiobook. Crossing fingers that it gets done sooner.

This is one of my absolute favorite book series ever!! It has the right amount of intrigue, action, love, sex, and all kinds of good stuff. I love Rivers strong personality and I love Kobal's love for River. It's a must read!!

BRILLIANT NARRATOR!!
AUDIBLE EDITION IS EXCELLENT!!
I got to the point I had to skip over chapters to get to the last 8 chapters of the end of the story!!
Book 3 The Road to Hell is one weird fight scene after another with hideous creatures. Usually followed by a sex scene between Cobal and River. No story to break up all the fighting and sex.
We do meet Rivers biological father who is working for Lucifer and we meet up with Lucifer towards the end of this book. Another big fight with more hideous creatures.

This one was painful
I had been enjoying this series until this. My goodness. A whole lot of meaningless meandering. The shapeshifter was probably the most interesting thing. I found it hard to get through and was ready for it to be over mainly because after every mind blowing escape from the clutches of death, these two manage to have sex. It’s ridiculous. I know a lot of authors in this genre do this but this one jump over the top with it. Ready to wrap this up and put it to bed.
