Earth Shattering Mangos and the Quarreling Quail

The rabbit's fear and imagination when the mangos fell from the trees, thinking the earth was breaking apart is a good lesson in what our imaginations can do when we focus on our fears instead of discovering the reality of our circumstances. One little fear can explode into a gossipy rumor that spreads like wildfire. Let us all learn from the wisdom of the lion who took the little rabbit to the source of his fear and proved that rabbit had let his imagination run away with him. The second story of the Sage Quail who taught his family how to cooperate and lift the net of the hunter, thus escaping capture is a beautiful tale. Eventually the quail began to quarrel, defeating the purpose put forth by the Sage Quail, and the wise quail had to take his family away to a peaceful place, thus protecting his own family. Both are wonderful stories for children AND adults.
