Publisher's summary

He jumped to his death in front of witnesses. Now his wife is charged with murder.

Five years ago, Erin Kennedy moved to New York following a family tragedy. She now lives happily with her detective husband in the scenic seaside town of Newport, Long Island. When Erin answers the door to Danny's police colleagues one morning, it's the start of an ordinary day. But behind her, Danny walks to the window of their fourth-floor apartment and jumps to his death.

Eighteen months later, Erin is in court, charged with her husband's murder. Over that year and a half, Erin has learned things about Danny she could never have imagined. She thought he was perfect. She thought their life was perfect.

But it was all built on the perfect lie.

The Perfect Lie….the perfect book!

I have had audible for a couple years, listened to tons of books….and have never written a review until now. This was hands down one of the best books I have ever read/listened to! Couldn’t take my ear buds out….made my runs longer to keep listening, couldn’t sleep last night not wanting to turn it off….it’s great & would definitely recommend it!

Great Mystery

Interesting characters and story line. Great narration, although as others have mentioned the Irish accent slips into the American characters but I liked it. Finally a story where the women are just real people instead of simpering idiots. Kept me entertained.

We Can always use more of Jo Spain!

I usually don't write reviews but was so incensed by the 'idiot' review written before mine (Tawny) that I would just like to say that I love my Country and to call this book anti-American is about as intelligent as the person who wrote it and then decorated it w/American flags and vomiting emoji's. Also, there have always been books that criticize the entitled and the wealthy. I could name them for you but I am certain it would be pointless but read The Great Gatsby for a start. It's not much longer than a People magazine. I am not entitled but I have enough to buy anything I need. Jo Spain doesn't deserve her excellent writing criticized by the obviously entitled, who can't take criticism themselves and need to use vomiting characters to make their point. Her writing is always worth reading.
