Publisher's summary

USA Today best-selling author WJ Lundy delivers a thriller of justice and deceit.

A world turned sideways by pandemics, war, and debt. Nations make the extraordinary move from individual rule to corporate outsourcing. The change came quick, and not without controversy. Some complied, some just wanted to be left alone. When noncompliance becomes criminal, one man finds himself on the wrong side of the law.

John Warren has sacrificed in his life but is now resigned to a quiet existence in a secluded home in Northern Michigan. All of that changes when he is falsely accused, with everything taken from him. Now, John Warren will fight to prove his innocence and to save the country he loves.

He can never go home, but he can still ensure his life amounts to something.

The riveting story of guerrilla warfare from the author of Donovan's War and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

Too short

Very good plot and realistic interactions and conversations. Too bad the author didn’t go into far more detail and plot development. It’s only 5+ hours long and could easily be 10+ with minimal effort. An audiobook this short is barely worth a credit. Don’t care for the narrator too much. Sounds like a smart ass to me. Gonna buy book 2 for another 5 whole hours of listening. That is all.

Can't wait for The Occupation 2

At first I thought there wasn't enough book to bring to a satisfying conclusion, then I saw the sneak peak of the next book. Can't wait, enjoyed the characters and look forward to the next installment.

It’s coming…

This is such a great start to a story that we might actually see play out in our country. If you feel like your country has betrayed you and looks at you as just a sheep to tax then this is the book for you.
