The Marriage Effect

Karla Sorensen has written another fabulous book/audiobook in The Marriage Effect. There are characters written in a previous book in the current one that make this book fuller. I enjoyed it so much and look forward to more of her novels.

The plot

I liked really everything about this book. Granted, I am a huge pro football fan. But it wasn’t just like a regular romcom. The addition of the children who were narrated perfectly made it so special. I never got bored and I couldn’t put it down.

I loved this book!

I really loved the narration. Both narrators did a great job in their portrayal of the characters and made it abgreat time.

I loved the story, it’s a marriage of convenience with so much chemistry and sexual tension between the characters, so what’s not to like. It’s really well written, sexy and funny. I loved everything about this one.

My Fave Sports Romance!

Logan & Paige & the Ward sisters are EVERYTHING! The narration is perfect and truly brings this to life.

Sad it ended so soon

I enjoyed this book. Fake marriage plots are my jam and this one didn't disappoint.

Good story, light on the angst

These two narrators were just perfect for this story. I seem to forget about Stephen Dexter but, I'm going to find more books read by him.
Overall, 4 1/2 stars.

I love Logan Ward

Paige is Allie’s best friend (now owner of the Washington Wolves) and has been staying with Allie and her boyfriend for over a year. Logan has been a captain for the Wolves for 12 seasons. Paige is set to inherit after her aunt dies. But only if she is married. Logan has been raising his half-sisters as their legal guardian for awhile but his brother is making it a big issue. They realize they could be the answer for each other.

I love relationship of convenience tropes. And sports so this delivered. Plus Karla loves football so she adds her depth of knowledge so well to these stories. I loved seeing how stoic Logan has been through this series while keeping the guardianship secret. I loved seeing Paige establish roots and not get the urge to leave as she got an itch for something new like she had done in the past. I loved getting to see Paige’s relationship with Logan’s sisters to provide a positive consistent person.

I knew some of this story because I read Logan’s sisters’ stories in 2020. Reading this and knowing who Molly, Iz, Lia, and Claire end up with later was such a beautiful glimpse into their personalities and relationships with both Paige and Logan.

fun and sweet!had a good time! I think the narrators gave something extra to the book, I want to listen to them again!

Wow

Such a great story, and a magical duo for it. When I first learned it was a fake marriage, I wasn't really fan of it, but this book made me fall in love with that trope.
Logan and Paige was meant to be together that's for sure and their story was so good.
