Ok mystery with typical bumbling hero

Not much different than a Dan Brown novel with an ok mystery , obviously hero who stumbles it no danger and a villain who seems to have Michael Myers’s ability to not die

A good tale beautifully read

As usual, Edoardo Ballerini does not disappoint. The story is a perfect summer listen while being educational enough, convoluted enough, and romantic enough. A bit too much violent for me but seldom on center stage.

Has Some Gaps

A few storyline gaps, but an enjoyable read. Kind of like Halloween candy, you enjoy it but can wait until next year to have another piece.

An interesting and very good suspense story

The plot was really good plus as an amateur artist myself, the art details were very interesting and fun to hear. I liked the characters very much.
I also liked the narrator, Eduardo Ballerini. Whenever I see that he is the narrator, it is always a plus because he is always excellent. Sometimes a narrator can ruin a good story, but not Mr. Ballerini!

Very entertaining

I enjoyed getting to know the characters. The story was really interesting. I didn't particularly like the going back and forth between then and now. I know it w as s necessary for the story. The narration was very well done.

Interesting thanks to history

I made it through this book but at times I was looking forward to finishing. I found the story a bit formulaic and the “romance“ was layered onto the recounting of historical events like too much shellac on a fine painting.
