Good Start
Pretty solid story. I really wanted more from the personalities and the rushed end/resolution at Silo 18 was a disappointment. I was also hoping for a bit more detail of the technology they use and how they go about using/maintaining it. Seems so crucial but I’m left wondering about so much. I’m in for the next one up, though.

Loved it
So glad I stumbled across this one, it was great. I haven’t watched the show yet, but I will now even though I know the book is ALWAYS better. Looking forward to listening to the next book as well. I really enjoyed this narrator. He was engaging and made it easy to tell which characters were speaking without over doing it. Definitely worth the credit.

Great book…hopefully the show will live up to it.
Great book and great reading. Interesting to hear the differences with the book and the show. Wished I had known about the books before the show. Now to “shift” to the next one.

Love this book!
Jules is a bad ASS. I loved the dystopian setting. It like an adult Hunger Games!
Dialog was well written. Action packed. This deserves a series. Let’s hope the adaptation of this into a script is done right.

A Character Driven Sci-Fi that’s become one of my favorites
I decided to give the book a try after noticing the show advertised on Apple TV. Given I like books more than TV, I decided to listen to it before watching the show. Boy am I glad I did. I couldn’t stop listening and finished the whole book in less than a week. I’ve been hard pressed to find a book/series I like as much as The Expanse, but I think this is it. The premise is extremely interesting but it’s the way that Howey develops his characters that had me captivated. Can’t wait to read the next book!
