Stunning on every level

Brian D. Anderson is quickly assuming a place in my mind among the great high fantasy authors of modern times. Long has it been since last I journeyed through the coils of a fantasy book who's story and heart compelled me but now the wait is over, for in " The Godling Chronicles," a tale of such captivating lore, woven skillfully together like an elven shawl, by a hand who's keen ability is perhaps unmatched by modern contemporaries, I have at least found my oasis to satisfy the burning desire in me for the taste afforded by true high fantasy.

Good ol’ fantasy

Characters and story developed ok, narration was good. Certain phrases overused that make characters sound similar (“at least not yet”, “beyond your imagination” are two)

Brilliant and interesting

This unique take on the relationship of men, gods and elves is addicting. Derek Perkins is a superb choice to read it, because he has the depth and intensity Brian Anderson's words deserve.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely???

Great emotionally charged story. Believable situations. Very thought provoking. On ward to book 4! One of the best series I have ever read.

Great start to a new series

I consumed the first 3 books in just over 2 days. I really like the world the author has built. Probably won’t purchase the next 3-4 books in the series as I just have too many others I’m working through with my monthly credits but this was a welcome find in the plus catalog.

Entertaining but a bit predictable

I read the first three books and appreciated that they were free with the membership. I enjoyed the characters and the story. However, I’ve read many books from this genre and the story line isn’t original enough to keep me going and purchasing the last in the series.

Gewey and Kaylia's relationship is vital to series

I love how the soul bond between Gewey and Kaylia has been written up to this point, and my biggest fear is that Brian Anderson will decide to break it or kill off Kaylia or Gewey in the subsequent novels. This is one example where anything other than an eventual and conclusive "happily ever after" relationship between the two characters will result in there being virtually no incentive for me to finish the series. Gewey and Kaylia's relationship is the only glue I've found so far in the novels that makes me want to finish them. If that glue is taken away then the series will become practically meaningless. It's very rare for a guy like myself to find a romantic relationship between two characters to be this important to the viability of the series in the long term.
