Dig me some Noir
Chandler and Hammet are great examples of this type of book. I hope to be listening to more of these. I am so done with Scott Brick, but he does great here.

Very entertaining
A great break from studying. Well written and very good narration of an engrossing story that was fun to follow. I have avoided the genre until recently but feel I’m developing a new pastime. I guess I could do much worse. This vintage of mystery, Chandler and Hammett, is right for me.
Highly recommended. I hope you like it too.

A bit of old school
It was amusing to read a story that had the style and earmarks of times 80 years ago. The prices, the style of furniture and writing all added an extra layer of amusement to the tale of such a good author.
Scott Brick is once again a hero of storytelling.

Classic in language, story, and performance!
Chandler’s use of language, characterization, plot, and setting is utterly brilliant. Nothing is lost with the passage of time as Brick’s performance perfectly portrays.
Brick’s contribution to the reader’s Ability to fully appreciate and enjoy every nuisance of the novel is immeasurable.
I will be searching for another Chandler novel read by bricks. Thank you

Good read/listen
Scott Brick as always a great performance. Story feels like and old radio show. It's not Raymond Chandler's best work. A good not great plot helped by a great performance. Still worth the time but if you are new to Chandler maybe start with the Long Goodbye or Farewell my Lovely.

The music was very annoying.
The story was very entertaining. Chandler was a master at using the English. However the music was not needed.
