Great history on the Ancient Greeks

This is considerably the best non-fiction book I had to listen to in many years. Captivating History, does an excellent job of detailing the events, personalities, and consequences of the wars without losing the human element or influence on the world.

I greatly love the Greco-Persian Wars.

The book is terrific and well worth every penny I spent on it. Just the account of Thermopylae had me on the side of my seat and filled with excitement and pride in what these brave Spartans and their allies did for Greece and western civilization.

It is brilliantly written

The narrative moves with pace, and the author can generate a fantastic atmosphere of suspense in the lead up to each battle.
The features of the surrounding political crisis enable the browser to get a feeling of what each side was thinking.

Great History Book, thanks.

The book describes the struggle in detail, and although at times it seemed like there was a little too much consideration.
Overall, the book offers a comprehensive view of the conflict from both sides, and I recommend it a lot.
