Publisher's summary

In a world draped in shadows, I was just a med student with an extraordinary talent. My existence was relatively quiet, bound by my devotion to my little brother, Felix, until one fateful night brought danger to our doorstep.

In swept the notorious Leclair brothers, as dark and tempting as the world they ruled. My brother’s debts had summoned them, and my life was their payment. Damien, the cold and commanding leader; Lucien, the charming persuader; and Rafe, the brutish protector - they gave me a choice: Become their personal physician in a ruthless fight club or watch Felix pay the price.

I chose survival, stepping into their mansion of secrets and their underground pit of violence. Their savage world was far from the sterile hospital halls I was used to, but I held my own. As I navigated the dangerous labyrinth of their lives, a connection sparked between us. Unconventional, electrifying, and more dangerous than the enemies lurking in the shadows.

Subpar

So the story line was good, but the execution of the plot was short lived. there were details that could have been explained in depth, example what was the beef about between the guys all was said is that there causing problems, same with the brother and the little girl we're did she disappear to after the fight alot of what happened how did they get here. it felt rushed to get to the end

Yikes

Wow if I never hear the word “precipice” again I would be ok with that. It could have been a decent story but the crap virtual narration and the tons of repeated words and sentences just ruined it. I feel like they kept saying the same things over and over. It was just not done very well.

No to Virtual Voices and Poor Stories

If the future is virtual voice, I can no longer listen to audiobooks. Human emotions in voices can not be replicated with machines. Unfortunately, things were made worse with the unbelievable and poor plot of this story. I just couldn't get into it. There was no build up of feelings to the relationships established. I would have been extremely upset if I would have wasted credits on this title. For now, I will avoid virtual voice audiobooks unless there is significant improvement where there is no difference between actual human voice.
