The voice of the narrator

I just could not finish the book. The story line is great. But the voice of the narrator hits me like nails on a chalkboard. Just could not listen anymore.

please use a new narrator next time

I liked the story and thought it was fairly well written. There were some things when it comes to operational security that I thought were lacking such as security with the phones and how sloppy they were in that regard. Also if Sergey was such a spy master, he did some very sloppy things like showing up at the apartment that he knows is being watched. In the future when you are talking about reloading a gun that uses magazines please don't call them clips. They are magazines. My big gripe though was the narrator. I couldn't get over the fact that he sounded like a child and didn't really give much vocal personality to any of the characters.

Hearing the narrator's high voice made me question the book. But, it turned out to be the perfect voice for the young adult characters, especially with his great range.
The plot was fun and very creative and has convinced me to look at "The Day" with wide open eyes.

Good story, needs a new narrator

I'd love to hear the next book, but please get a new narrator for the future. It was pretty hard to get going because the narrator sounded like a kid trying to read a serious book... this series deserves someone who can bring the listener into the gravity of the situation, and the characters to life.

Enjoyed this story

The storyline was interesting. The characters were the best part of the book. I don’t believe in a pre tribulation rapture, however, the one thing that comes from “living through” the tribulation is that you can see the mighty hand of God and His protection. That comes through in this story and it is encouraging.

Excellent story but

Awful, truly awful narration. Loved the book and appreciate Mark Fisher’s investment. Hoping the next two volumes are narrated by a different person.

Very good story, but not good narrator.

The story is really good and Biblical sound, love the picture that is painted with the story. That said the narrator is not great and makes the story feel really clunky and basic sounding. Once I got over this I have really enjoyed this story and would recommend it to any Christian or anyone looking for a good end times story that flows the prophecies from the Bible. I look forward to listening to the rest of the story.

Great Book!!

I listen to most Christian fiction titles I can find and I have been an audible member for close to Ten years and have amassed about a thousand audible titles. With that said; I have to say I really, really, liked this book. It’s great when an author stays with in Biblical bounds. I cannot wait for the second book. Yes, I am A fan of the left behind series for the record. Mr. Fisher please keep writing you have fans waiting! But boy if you stay so close to God's word expect in this backwards world to be attacked.

It’s hard to find the right narrator

It’s not that the narrator was bad, but this particular story demands not just male and female voices and accents, but a good demon voice and appropriate voices from God’s throne room!! A tall order. The narrator has a young person’s voice which was not effective for an arch angel or for the anti-christ. The characters lacked depth and just weren’t believable. I like the premise and good Christian fiction is hard to come by. I did want to see where the author was going with this. I wanted to finish it but I do think the characters deserve better voices. It was hard to get past that. Unfortunately this genre (sadly) is less likely to get the readership to command top talent. The part where the author started and finished sounded way too low budget, it was a recording that sounded like he used the mic installed on his computer. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The fate of some left in limbo.
