Hands down the best overall fitness info

If you ever wished you could find one resource that could help you make sense of the insane amount of ridiculous fad programs/diets promising the moon and fitness gurus all telling you "their" way was best, well, here it is.

If you had no other information at all about physical health and fitness besides this one single book you'd have almost everything you need, and I'm not talking about average health and fitness...I'm talking about peak performance and fitness for a lifetime. The only other recommendations I could make a reasonable case for would be a decent book on flexibility training and a more in-depth treatment of nutrition...for those, try

Great Book, easy to understand!

All of my life I feared lifting dumbbells. I had heard terrible accounts of misshapes. A lady told me that following well-defined rules of use makes exercise with weight safe. She gave me the title of this audiobook. Immediately I liked it because it tells you every time what to do and what not to do and why. I am still in relatively good shape thanks to this audiobook. Contrary to the title I do not try to sculpt my body, just stay in shape. It works.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Love the work-out plans and the step-by-step instructions on each exercise! I also love that each workout gives alternate exercises that you can do and includes cardio and abs. And I especially like that the author(s) not only teach you the exercises, but also teach about the correct attitude, diet, technique, supplements, and the science of your metabolism regarding the 'whens' and 'hows' to maximize your workout.

Finally a book that covers everything!

This audiobook has a concise lifestyle and healthy food guide for gaining or losing weight. I can't count the times I have listened to this audiobook for friends who love to live healthily and take time for the gym. Forget the personal trainer and their costs, this book will get you where you need to be at a fraction of the cost.

Worth listening to it!

I'm sure a lot of people don't gym it as he did and Crossfit and other forms of exercise have exploded but his impact is undeniable. This audiobook is fantastic in giving people a basis for why certain exercises work. The explanations aren't supposed to be from a physio's viewpoint but Mulford did a great job at explaining in layman's terms why these exercises worked for him and why probably they will work for you. You can take what you want and come back to it again and again.

This actually works

The Second Edition of this audiobook is excellent and is what I thought I was purchasing. This is the only men's exercise book you will probably ever need. It has great information on nutrition, lots of exercises for the different muscle groups, and has several workout programs you can follow.
Since I've started my body shape has shifted significantly upward. My upper chest is now larger, my triceps have a v mark when I flex them, and my shoulders are much larger and display a bunch of little lines when flexed.

Finally a book that covers everything!

Well-thought-out and constructed. It covers the whole body: uppers, core, and legs. I have been using this audiobook as a guide for a month, and am very satisfied with the results. I particularly like the way the workouts are planned where different muscle groups are worked in each session. I have never had an over-worked muscle or injury. Also, the workouts are fast. It sometimes takes me thirty or so minutes, but after that, I'm done.
