Publisher's summary

Letting down her guard leaves a woman vulnerable to love - and to a menacing stalker - in a pulse-pounding novel by Nancy Herkness, award-winning author of The Hacker.

After fleeing her abusive ex, New Jersey salon owner Natalie Hart is reclaiming her life and self-esteem. Her fragile recovery doesn’t need a player like former FBI agent Tully Gibson, no matter how tempting a fling sounds. Then Natalie starts receiving anonymous notes, each more frightening and threatening than the last. To help track her stalker, Natalie knows whom to call. Their explosive chemistry together is an emotional hazard she’s willing to risk.

A high-powered security expert at KRG Consulting, Tully has intimacy issues of his own. The stirring hum of attraction he feels with his new client comes with boundaries. Tully’s job: just keep Natalie safe. But keeping his distance is getting harder. Whoever is playing games with Natalie wants to take things one deadly step further. The deeper Tully and Natalie are drawn into danger, the closer they become.

It’s time for Natalie and Tully to face their fears - of falling in love and of falling prey to a vengeful killer.

The Agent by Nancy Herkness

Excellent story about a woman that had been abused by her ex-husband and desire to help others in that same situation. Unfortunately one of the women that she was helping had an extremely psychopathic husband and was out to payback the woman who was helping his wife.

The Agent

I have enjoyed this series so much and this one did not disappoint. When Natalie and Tully are thrown together for their best friend's wedding the chemistry sparks and when Natalie's threatening messages become more sinister she turns to Tully, a former FBI agent, for help. He takes up upon himself to keep her safe and find out what and who is behind the menacing threat. Will they be able to keep love at bay because they don't want to cross that line?

YAAASSS!

H is in her 40s!?!? 💗 Yes!! 😎 Creepy stalker, and not the fun kind; too real 😬 Love Natalie! Experience has definitely made her tough and not a pushover. Wish Tully's age was mentioned, or I missed it.

Such a happy ending it made me cry.

I love this one enough to read it again right now. Could not put it down! Rare to listen to a book that I love this much.

*sigh*

Seems like I waited forever for this book. Really, it wasn't that bad. But I kind of fell in love with Sully in the first book. Don't get me wrong, I liked the other guys too. But Sully . . . *sigh* Natalie also piqued my interest. Their story was worth waiting for. Thank you.

agent

I loved this series. it had lots of action and great romance. bits of the story was strange like Tully and Nat sit in the crimimal office and start talking about their love like nothing happened. I'm mean who does that. other than that it was a great story. all three were great im sad to see it end. I was looking forward to dion story.

A VERY ENJOYABLE SUSPENSEFUL ROMANCE

I haven’t listened to the other two books in this series.. but I have been wowed by some of the previous books this author so I thought I’d give it a try - and I was rewarded with a very enjoyable and suspenseful mystery/romance. Chemistry leads to blurred lines and much more between Hairdresser Natalie and ex FBI Agent Tully when Natalie finds herself a target of a stalker.. a stalker who’ll up his game and bring danger to Natalie’s door. They were both only looking for ‘casual’ with absolutely no expectations.. but, somewhere between the sex, intimate chats over dinner dates and piecing together of clues, their hearts lost the ‘keep it casual’ memo and feelings flooded in. Unrequited feelings?.. or just maybe just unresolved? Escalating tension.. well-placed sizzles, sex and suspense.. blossoming feelings and romance.. players and pawns.. and good narration made this a very enjoyable listen and, even though I would’ve preferred it if the dual POV story had been brought to life by a M/F team of narrators, Maxine Mitchell did a stellar job. WORTH A CREDIT? Yes, I really enjoyed it.

The Agent

I absolutely loved this book. Very romantic, very hot and sexy, and some suspense. What more can you ask for? I think The Agent is one one Nancy's best books yet. I even got emotional when Tully expressed his love to Natalie and I don't usually get that emotionally involved when reading. I had tears in my eyes. Awesome read. Looking forward to her next book.
