Publisher's summary

When Attorney Sabre Brown’s eccentric Aunt Goldie dies, leaving a series of cryptic notes, Sabre launches the most intriguing and frustrating investigation of her life. While sorting through the piles of junk her hoarder aunt left behind, Sabre must keep Goldie’s greedy, dysfunctional children at bay. But she also discovers unexpected treasures, family secrets, and her aunt’s suspicions that someone was trying to kill her.

But soon Sabre is torn in another direction when she takes a case involving four children whose brother was murdered in their home, and no evidence of who killed him.

When her PI boyfriend and good-natured brother step in to help, they also get caught up in the labyrinth of clutter, deceit, and attempted murder. Sabre must hold everything together long enough to bring a killer to justice, protect the child’s siblings, and carry out her aunt’s bizarre last wishes.

Great narration of a really interesting book.

Labyrinth is the perfect title for this book; there's one thing after another going on and it's very reminiscent of a labyrinth. Then there is the physical labyrinth Sabre has to deal with in her dead aunt's home. The time flew by while I was listening to this great book

The Advocates Labyrinth

I love The Advocates series! Teresa Burrell spins a great story with lots of detail and unexpected twists! In The Advocates Labyrinth the story moved along rapidly and I couldn’t wait until my next walk so I could listen to more!
Unfortunately in the audible version I found a male voice doing all the female parts distracting. I tried to get used to this but I sometimes lost track of the characters because of this.

Captivating legal drama

The Advocate's Labyrinth by Teresa Burrell is an interesting legal drama. Even though this a book 12 in a series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone story. The characters and story are fleshed out well enough that there are no questions about what has gone on before in the lives of the characters. The main character, Sabre, a child advocate attorney, has a couple of cases going on in this book. First Sabre becomes embroiled in the legal aspects of her Aunt Goldie's estate. Lots of interesting scenarios regarding the squabbling dysfunctional family members and the fact of Goldie being a hoarder. The other case is a whodunit case involving the death of a child and the implication that one of the siblings might have been the culprit. The author depicts the situations well and creates a lot of empathy for the people involved and their situations. Twists and turns to the plot, great characterization, tension-filled suspense--what more could a reader who loves legal thrillers ask for! I have a lot of catching up to do with this series. I listened to a complimentary copy of the audiobook version and the narrator, John Bell, did a good job telling the story, which made for an enjoyable listening experience. I received a complimentary copy of the book and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

11th book in series and 13th with same characters

I have read and followed Teresa Burrell since her first book in this series. Every one I listened to the characters grew and the world she created expanded to bring in new characters and storylines. Taking care of children’s needs vs the legal systems rules and decisions in these books bring new challenges to each book. This one is no different. The fate of several children’s lives are at stake as the team works together to ensure their safety. This book had me on the edge of my seat. Excited to read the next book.

Love this book and series

I love this series by Teresa Burrell but I think this is my favorite. Sabre is named the executor of her Aunt Goldie's estate. I found this whole story so different and interesting. The audiobook is narrated by John Bell and he is wonderful.

working through the puzzle of an estate

This is the first book I've read in the series. I had no difficulty following the story.

Sabre has been made the executor and trustee of her Aunt Goldie's estate after Goldie dies suddenly and unexpectedly. Sabre discovers that her aunt was a hoarder and has hidden money and paperwork throughout her crammed house and storage units.

Goldie's greedy and dysfunctional children squabble for "their share" and don't trust Sabre to be fair to them. As Sabre begins sorting through Goldie's things, she finds some mysterious requests and documents. A new family member emerges.

In the meantime, Sabre continues to perform her real job and is trying to advocate for a boy whose brother has died under puzzling circumstances.

The book is engrossing and entertaining. I certainly enjoyed it.

I received an audio version of the book from the author. The narrator of the book was excellent. This is my honest review.

I love these Books

I love these Books I hope there are more books. Sabre and JP are just getting started. What happen to them? What about his brother and his children? and the little girl from this book. There is so much that is unanswered. Moreover, Things I didn't know happen here in our Country. I am not smart but I want to do somethings to help.Thank you please keep it going.
