Steamy story with a wonderful up and down romance

A very steamy story with a strong attraction between Emma and Caleb. Emma was independent woman because of her past and her need to prove she could do it on her own. Caleb was a work-driven man who wanted more and knew he wanted Emma. The ups and downs of their romance kept the story moving, and I look forward to listening the Season Two. Crystal Elm did a wonderful job separating the characters and kept me feeling the emotions.

Good Read

Tell Me a Story: Episode #1 (Story Serial #1) was a good read by Tamara Lush. Emma is a free spirited book store owner, who is keeping her business afloat with her innovative ideas. One idea is Story Brothel, where customers pay writers to read aloud to them in a story time for two. But things become steamy when a businessman hires Emma for a private session. Caleb finds himself captivated by Emma. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Missed its ending

There are times when the plot to this story works quite well, adding to the steamy scenes that deliver heady action. I was surprised that the book didn't end sooner. It had a likely place to wrap things up once the conflict between the two main characters was resolved, but then it went on for several chapter more what seemed like superfluous action.

Steamy Steamy

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This was a hot steamy romance. The narrator was great. The story was interesting too. I love that Emma has a book store and the Book Brothel was awesome! I would read more by this author.

4 Story Brothel stars

I listened to the audio for this story. It was a nice read. A reading event taken place at a location called Story Brothel, where people pay to listen to stories told in an intimate setting. The main characters have an instant connection and explore their chemistry. Has a bit of drama with a happy ending.

Relatable Main Character

I really enjoyed listening to this book. As a writer, Emma's character really spoke to me and I enjoyed the perspective. Caleb was good for her and encouraged her to be who she was and it gave me the warm fuzzies. I also enjoyed the fact that they were older than average, well established in their lives and relatively capable of working through issues unlike the normal age range featured in the romances I read.

I listened to one of the sex scenes while driving and I had to pause it because it was making my face too hot to focus, so that's a huge plus.

Crystal Elm did a decent job, though I didn't love how she pronounced Caleb's name–sounded like Calib–and it stuck out a bit to my ears. Her male voices also weren't my favorite, but she gave Caleb a little bit of an accent that I liked, so that was a plus. I didn't like the voice she used for the male lead when she was reading her stories aloud though. Overall it was a good listen and I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the series and seeing where their relationship goes.

Love this Book!!!

I love this book so much! This author is amazing!! The Narrator was wonderful! I felt that she captured the main characters voice perfectly. I can’t wait for volume 2. It a great story about love and overcoming differences and being accepted for who you are.

Compelling start

The story hooked me in the first few minutes with an intriguing setup and smart flirtation. I don’t typically enjoy characters who overthink things, but Caleb balances out Emma nicely, and they have great chemistry. Looking forward to the rest of the tale :)
