Chloe has one plan for the future, and one plan only: the road. She's made a promise to herself: don't let anyone in, and don't let anyone love her. She's learned the hard way what happens if she breaks her rules. So she's focused on being invisible and waiting until she can set out on the road--her dream of freedom, at least for a little while.
Blake Hunter is a basketball star who has it all--everything about him looks perfect to those on the other side of his protective walls. He can't let anyone see the shattered pieces behind the flawless facade or else all his hopes and dreams will disappear.
One dark night throws Chloe and Blake together, changing everything for Blake. For Chloe, nothing changes: she has the road, and she's focused on it. But when the so-called perfect boy starts to notice the invisible girl, they discover that sometimes with love, no one knows where the road may lead.

This story made me laugh, cry, dry out, and laugh, cry again. I get NOT Abby and P***y Hunter, there love story is an instant classic. Jay McLean writting style is heartwarmingly real and the audio performance gave it life!!! They may of been young but their story is timeless..
I can't tell you if the story line was good or not because I didn't actually read it. I just want readers to be aware before they purchase it that the language is not only R rated, but used regularly in the small portion that I did read. I should have let the first 10 minutes be my guide. I kept thinking it can't continue like this, but it did. This book was not for me.
This is my favorite audible book to date! Amazon voice actors that emote beautifully.
Jay McLean has once again captured our hearts in another emotionally gripping story of young love. This story demonstrates two young people learning how to navigate through their fears, choices, and feelings. Real life, heavy issues weigh on them both and they must decide how their choices effect each other and everyone else in their lives. Major kudos!! I was brought to tears many times through this story, which is not an easy thing to do. I would recommend this book to anyone!
The female narrator makes this hard to listen to, but if you can get past the voices the story is good. This probably a much better read than listen.
Always in search of my next book boyfriend. <3
Chloe has known heartbreak from a young age and that has shaped who she is now and her plans for the future or lack thereof. When she meets Blake she does not want to be friends she wants to stay invisible has other plans and decisions must be made, and Chloe will have to decide if she will face her fears or let them control her.
I loved every minute of this story! At times it was a bit emotional and heartbreaking, but that is life. Both characters are very relatable and have real life problems. All in all it was a beautiful story.
Male narrator-4 stars (female voice needed a bit of work)
Female narrator-4 stars
Heroine - 4.5 stars
It is absolutely, unexpectedly, phenomenal! This is truly a unique and heartwarming story. I encourage everyone to give it a chance and discover your next good read.
It was a good book about difficult situations in life that a lot of people deal with. It is awesome how the characters stuggle and realize with people that love you, you can do anything!
Enjoy romance, erotic, and YA
Narrators were fine. It was the story. Too much unnecessary drama throughout story. I was looking forward to her road trip. When she finally did get on the road, it was uneventful. After sooooo much drama, it finished with a fairy tale ending (several homes bought, a supportive team / marching band). Really? I forced myself to finish the book.
"Great love story but way too many tragedies"
Yes the story was great, but as I wrote in my headline it contains way too many tragedies to be a realistic story
A really great story, but it not a believable story because how many tragedies can one person survive? At least a few of the tragedies in the story shouldn't have been in this book since it's way too many deaths to overcome for one person. It makes it into a Not Believable story. Cut half of the death out and it would be a more believable story to relate to. As I wrote earlier I will definitely listen to this book again, but it will never be one of my favorite books
