got really into the voice acting

amazing narrerator as I get very into it because of them and wonderfully descriptive story.

Main Character

I got this book do to a friend's recommendation. The story is told like you are hearing every thought the main character is having. Alot of whining, self depreciating thoughts, and a victim mind set that is annoying. A little self confidence on the part of the main character would of been nice. At the end there is a glimmer of hope, maybe. I am going to get book 2 to see if maybe she is slacks up on the poor pitiful me scenario that she is constantly repeating in her head. It could be a good story.

Couldn't continue as audiobook, may try in print

I wish I had read more reviews. I am sure the story is good, I heard great things from the bookstagram and it was shaping up to be fairly enjoyable, but after an hour pushing through I couldn't take the scratching sounds and repetitive inner dialogue/journaling anymore. They were just too jarring via audio for me. I wish I could return the audiobook to get my credit back and just read it on paper in peace.

I dont typically read fiction or fantasy books, but i couldnt put this one down!! its great.

definitely a young adult story line but the writing was beautiful and breath taking.

Surprising

The audio sample of this book does No justice to the story or narrator.
The narrator's voice is far more soothing than the audio sample would imply. The story is much more intricate than I expected it to be too. I've just finished with the second book now, and I'm at a point where I can't put it down. It's not simple and straightforward, but not so sideways that you can't keep track of where you're at. So far this is a great story! With a genuine brilliantly composed plot. Can't wait to see where this goes!

This series is like a poetic adventure I never wanted to end. The twists and turns were complicated, but without being confusing.
The plot hooking, intricate, and beautifully articulated. I'm absolutely certain I've found a new favorite to listen to over and over again!
Fantastic series. Dark and sinister, to light and funny, to romantic and fun without competing too be too much!

Very difficult to stop listening.

I'm not sure why there's quite a bit of bad reviews for this audiobook, but I enjoyed it. I finished this book quickly, and I'm about to start the second book right now. The narrator did an amazing job.

I am absolutely breathless. This book took me by surprise, made me cling to the characters and I am overall in love with this book and writing style!
