Narrator ruined it for me

I really had a hard time with this narrator, it honestly kinda ruined the book for me. I really liked the story line however. That said, this is about teenagers and the narrator does sound like a teenager so maybe that is relatable to teenagers who listen to this book. For me as an adult it was a negative.

Decent

This book was a good one. I watched the TV series before I ever started to listen/read the books and didn't even realize there were books till recently. The TV show got very close to being exactly like the book which I am thankful for! I was NOT expecting Spencer's sister to be a smoker or anything like that and there were a few other things I was not expecting but overall its a good book and I can't wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Very captivating

I loved watching the shows and I have read this book before but I had not listened to it before. I love this book and series even more now being able to listen to them and I probably get more out of them having someone who can perform the book like it should be.

Compelling Cotton Candy

This was a compelling listen. It was mostly cotton candy but there were moments when it exposed some of the human condition. I needed a different ending, though. (Spoiler Alert.) The unresoved identity of "A" was not fair to the reader.

This story is a mystery, romance, and is the best.

Where does Pretty Little Liars #1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have watched the show and I prefer the books now since you can visually see in your mind the emotions and actions the characters go through.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is well two people because I mean they are Sparia and that is Spencer and Aria. They go through ups and downs and I can really relate to having an artistic side and smart side especially having an older sister and brother.

Which scene was your favorite?

Whenever Spencer and Wren were talking, Aria and Ezra where together, or when the girls got a text from A.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Spencer basically got disowned by her parents or how when Wren came to Spencer.

Any additional comments?

I loved the story line and the show too.

Lovely

I loved the PPL series and just couldn't get enough of it, so I started the books. as different as they are, the book still has the same amazing story, with even more controversial issues to attack. If you're a fan of the show, I highly suggest it

Way better then the show!

I’m rereading the books. The books have more complex storylines with no plot holes. The books just make more sense and do the twin aspect way better then the show could. TV show was ok, but the actora carried it after season 3.

Different

Watching the series made me want to listen to the books. So far the girls are different than their characters. In the tv series a year had gone by from when Ali went missing where the book it is three years. The girls seem bitchier in the books. They are also described differently or at least a few. Ali was described to a T. But Emily is a different race in the book and Melissa has blond hair. I got all the books so I’ll listen to them to see the other differences. They even made Moana a blonde. Since I saw the series it is hard for me to picture the characters any other way.
