10 Stars- I'm in Love

I have a love hate relationship with Kresley Cole, I LOVE all her books but hate that she keeps me anxiously awaiting her next release. An extraordinary list of characters, this book had it all; I laughed, cried, amazed, etc and in love with Jackson.....

Readers, I recommend you purchase this one, TRUST me. I never thought I would ever "waste my credit" on young adults’ books, but..... if they’re all as good as this one………….hmmmmmmmmm.
Readers, If you love, fantasy, Sci-fi and just a tab bit of romance, you will not regret this buy.

surprisingly addictive!

I was given this book as a birthday gift and so glad for it. It was a little difficult at times, and in some places predictable. However by the end it was all making sense. Cant wait to finish the rest. Not even waiting for my credit refill.

So amazing!

This was the most amazing read/listen. I loved the setting and how it all played out. I think my favorite character is the autistic boy, Matthew. He plays a really big role but is always regarded as simple. I didn’t expect the ending and can’t wait for the next book. I want her and Jack together so bad but I’m afraid it won’t be possible. And surely she will find her grandmother.

Captivating

I started this book having no idea I wouldn't be able to stop loving it.

Pretty good.

There were times when I was totally distracted by the way the male narrator voiced Evie. Irritated. And there were times when I felt the female narrator didn't have much range for expressing emotion. But I did enjoy that she gave Evie a more tom boy raspy edge as opposed to a girlie girl, even though you could as easily imagine that's how she would talk...

Interesting take on the post apocalyptic survival of the fittest with a mysterious sci fi power twist. Would've like a little more world building as far as the folk lore goes, but maybe that will show up in future books.

The poison princess was a very good book. I thought I wasn't going to like it after the first chapter . But it got incredibly good after that .

I have a love/hate thing going on with this book..

Uhh...I have this love-hate thing going on with this book...

First, the story has these big holes, like Ms Cole maybe thought "this is YA, therefore it doesn't need a more rational or logical setting" Wrong Ms Cole. The whole apocalyptic scene needed a better setting (just my two cents, of course).

That said....I absolutely loved the story! Do I make any sense? Of course not! But I did/do love it. So much that at some point I stopped my reading/listening , just so it didn't have to end so soon. Kind of idiotic, I know...sigh.

The main characters, well don't even get me started on the subject. Safe to say, I did not like Evie or Jackson that much....but...this kind of make sense due to the dark side and twists in the story, they were a good fit . This wasn't pretty but it was well done.

Needless to say I want the next book, as soon as possible. ;0)

I would give Emma Galvin only three of the five stars because her French and/or Cajun was deplorable.
