Publisher's summary

Callis Rose is a girl blessed with a gift from above or cursed with a ruthless power she barely understands; it's really just a matter of degrees. As her family life is turned asunder she is thrown into an indifferent Social Services program where she defends herself the only way she knows how.

Callis is moved from home to home until she finally settles at the Lowries. As she starts her first day of high school she meets both her favorite and least favorite person. Both happen to be part of the same household. Mindy Denton makes it her single mission in life to destroy Callis, even as her brother, Kevin, falls deeper into love with the mysterious and beautiful girl who is hiding something from them all.

Mark, you did it again!! I'm hooked!

Would you listen to Callis Rose again? Why?

Yes, it was so scary how much Mark can channel a teen girl.

What other book might you compare Callis Rose to and why?

Carrie. A girl different then most outcasted and then vengful.

What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It wasn't bad having him read as a teen girl, but it was kinda as if i was hearing the story as told by Mike Talbot!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes all of Mark's books are that way.

Any additional comments?

Another outta the park hit for Mark, i hope this is not the last we see of Callis, i also loved that it gave us a look at BT pre-Zombie!

Another great one...

I've read most all of Mark Tufos books. Always great characters with a storyline you can follow. You want to know what's going to happen with them..... Loved this one too. Not teen like you might think.

Another Mark Tufo , Sean Runnette Masterpiece

I’ve read nearly all of Mark Tufo’s works, Callis Rose is the only one I have actually shed the “man tear” at the end. A young girl, with a tragic past, is mercilessly tormented by the epitome evil; a “popular” teenaged girl. Tufo fearlessly describes the perils of neglect, indifference, predation, and bullying with his signature style. My doubts of Runnette’s ability of bringing a 16 year old girl to life where completely unfounded.

Hauntingly Beautiful

Hauntingly Beautiful. Those two words are a fitting description of Callis Rose a young girl trying to find love in a world full of so much pain and confusion. Mark you sir are a literary genius.

another hit from Tufo

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I sure would, whenever I re-listen to Zombie fallout and discover I've missed something like a name or a new character, I try to find the book and BT mentions her in ZF7. Any fan of mark tufo would be interested in all the branch off stories that somehow connect to the ZF series.

What other book might you compare Callis Rose to and why?

Maybe to Carrie minus the pigs blood and murderous rampage at prom

What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?

The fact that the littlest influction of his voice changes the character he's speaking for and you can tell who is who.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was

Tufo does it again.

Wow. Just wow. If this zombie thing doesn’t work out Mark can write the hell out of the troubled teen genre.
