WOW! Jaine Diamond did it again.

Audible review. Dual POV. This is book 3 in The Players series and it is awesome. Janie Diamond does an excellent job of giving insight into the lives of her characters and the motivation behind their actions. Her books truly make me feel as if her characters are people I know. I really enjoy how she brings characters from her previous books along as guest stars and updates their storyline in each new book. While both narrators read well the female narrator often had an of halting pace. Sadly neither of the narrators adopted a Canadian accent. Content warnings: drugs; stalking; motorcycle club activity and justice; cheating; and a marriage ended because a character revealed they're gay.

Ronan Sterling (35) owns a security company, has terrible parents, and has been divorced for a year. He excels at his job and is proud of the success he's had with the company his uncle transferred to Ronan when he retired. Ronan gets a call from Brody, one of his company's high profile clients, for help with Brody's newest client's security.

Summer Sorensen (30) is a popular DJ who just started a band with Ashley Player, Xander Rush, and Matt Brohmer, and they recently signed Brody as their band's manager. She is finishing up her final DJ commitments, ready to start what she hopes will be the beginning of her rock star career. One night after a party, there is an attempted break-in at her house while she's there. After the police have cleared the perpetrator, Ronan arrives to assess the situation and provide a security consultation. That attempted break in sets Ronan and Summer on the path to their HEA.

As with all of Jaine Diamond's books, there is an exciting epilogue preparing her readers for her next book. There is also a bonus epilogue available from the author. I hope you enjoy Ronan & Summer's story as much as I did.

GREAT NARRATION, GOOD STORY & A LITTLE SUSPENSE

DJ Summer loves to party.. and she’s the life and soul of them as she flirts and owns the room with her choice of music to commune with the crowds who have all come to her show. But she’s stepping back from that arena and jumping headlong into the rockstar arena with a new band. She loves her life and lives in the world of famous faces.. including the members of Dirty. She’s feisty, sexual, strong and self-assured.. but when she’s woken up in the middle of the night by a stalker trying to get in her house.. certain things need to change. However Summer tries to play it down, tries to refuse the advice from her Manager Brody and tries to resist the sizzles she gets looking at her newly appointed Bodyguard’s arms, hands, face, body, butt, bike and his way of calming her storm. Ronan has been a Bodyguard for decades.. he took over his uncle’s business and he thought he’d just bowed out and finished his last stint as a bodyguard.. but when he answers a call from Brody asking for help, all that changes because, when he locks eyes with Summer, Ronan doesn’t want to step-aside. And as he’s protecting the sultry, sexy Summer, the fire between them slowly melts the ice around his heart and opens his eyes to possibilities again. But first Ronan is going to not cross that line, he will wrestle with his control, he will try to remain vigilant while being possessive, lustful and at war with his deepening feelings. Oh yea and catch a slippery stalker, play nice and make friends with a powerful Motor Cycle Club for info and help and meet the family. A very enjoyable dual POV story with old friends from previous books joining the fun and frolics and there was some suspense and drama too directed the stalker‘s way. The characters, smoulders, sexcapades, passion, fireworks, frustrations, thoughts, romance and HEA’s we’re all brilliantly brought to life by the talented Kirsten Leigh and Jason Clarke whose vocal abilities never disappoint (.. love you Jason). WORTH A CREDIT? Well, even though this book didn’t 5 star wow me.. yes, IMO it’s still creditworthy.
