Interesting
Overall this is a pretty interesting story with very good narration. I liked the heroine and cheered for her, but I also thought she was dense at times. Who chugs down a bunch of stuff you don't know the side effects of? Duh. I also thought the cliffhanger ending was klunky. I will read the second book, but there is room for improvement.

Seriously?!
this main character has me wanting to slap the stupid out of her! I'm not even finished listening to the book yet but just finished chapter 21(?) when she decides to be all mopey about some other stupid snot bag "ruining" something for her and thinks downing 3 things that were supposed to be spaced apart was a good idea to get her good mood back!! she says "I mean, what's the worst that could happen " when she knows NOTHING and I mean NOTHING about the stuff!! way to act like a total brat! I mean she's supposed to be a 44 yr old woman but has been acting like a friggin 9 yr old that's not getting her way. SUPER annoying and then she goes and does something incredibly and monumentally stupid 🙄 uuuugh 🤦♀️
and I'm just gonna throw this out there, NO ONE can ruin things for you unless you let them! So don't let them! She should have ignored the b!t(h and gone about her business of having fun!
Sorry, but people/ characters that act like this are just super annoying...
