Sleep the only thing that stopped me from finishing this book in one sitting

If there’s a merciful higher being then there will be another book I’m so invested in this story and how it ends that I’d be crushed if just ended now the characters storytelling and everything about this was pure magic

I can not wait for the third book!!! I’m hooked! I strongly recommend. The perfect mesh of lgbtq love and fantasy

I was a little skeptical because I loved the first book so much, but this one did not disappoint! I can't wait for book number 3! the author should consider going beyond a third!

House Dorsa

Loved loved it! I'm so glad I found this series. This is sating my soul's need for an LGBTQ-ish GoT vibe. Can't wait for Empress of Dorsa, but I shall....as patiently as possible. Moving on to another of Eliza Andrew's books!

Oh My God Fantastic!!

Better than the original. It does a good job of hopping between the past and present, and fully developing characters. The author teases at a third book so I truly hope to go back to this wonderful fantasy world

I could not stop listening! As with the first book in this series, I feel that we’ve finally been given a LGBQT storyline that is well written, brilliantly creative/entertaining, and had zero cringeworthy pandering gay moments that are so prevalent in this sub-genre.

Also, I had to admit to my wife that I have a HUGE crush on Jocelyn. When does the movie/tv show come out?!

If you have been searching for beautifully written LGBT representation in fantasy genre or if you have just been searching for excellent fantasy this series is brilliant. Excellent, and much awaited, continuation from Princess of Dorsa. Characters are well written and grew in the first book, with the second providing insight into their pasts and fleshing the world out further. Within familiar fantasy themes the is a well formed interesting world with unique style and rules. Sweet but intense love story mixed in with strong female characters (mindful of brief mentions of past abuse but it is not gratuitous and is important to acknowledge within the context given - both in first and second book). Exciting twists between who's villain and who is ally. Thank you, Eliza for book two! It is amazing. I was excited that Elizabeth read for book two as well, and hope she continues to do so for any future in the series. Beautiful, clear voice, with changes for different characters and regional accents.
I love this series and had yet to find another that I enjoyed this much within LGBT scifi/fantasy genre. Highly recommend giving it a chance.

Bought the hard copy and was thrilled the audio was released shortly after for when I had to commute again. Am excited for this series to continue. If you have not already, read the first! 10/10
