Emotional Listen

As I hadn’t read any of the previous books in this series I had concerns about following the story but I shouldn’t have worried because I loved this book and now I need to play catch up with the rest of the series. Back to front sometimes works and maybe it was the narrators that made this book even more special because they certainly bought Sold Out to life.
Sold Out is an emotion story and Tor Thom and Charley Ongel did a fantastic job with the characters and all the emotions that play such a big part in this book. I was touched on so many levels as I listened to this at times heartbreaking story. Looking forward to picking up book 1 in this series.

WOW!

What an exciting and emotional story! Mine were all over the place. A. M. Madden sure twisted me up and smoothed me out all the way to the end. I can’t say enough praise for Tor Thom and Charley Ongel doing the narration. They were spot on with each character. I love to listen to Charley doing the children characters and Tor’s deep voice will keep your ears peeled.

Excellent

Having listened to the whole series I must say this was probably my favorite one. I loved the duel narration, it made it so much easier on the ears and sexier!
Although this book was heartbreaking in many ways compared to the other ones, there were still light hearted moments too.
I don't want to give anything away, but I will say I wouldn't be adverse to listening to another book following Devil's Lair. Especially with these two as the narrator's!

What a ride!

AM Madden can take me on that emotional roller coaster any time! What a story she has written with this 5th book of her Back-up Series. I have not listened to the previous books, but this has spurred me into wanting all the back stories to the band members. It can stand alone though and the story is both heartbreaking and heart warming. We get to see Jack & Layla with their kids, enjoying their life. We see a glimpse of Hunter and the love of Trey and Tara. But what comes on when the unexpected happens? We get to see just how strong theses characters are, and how they really truly are a family. This book is extremely emotional, and let me have a quick look at how blood is thicker than water. You can not have a stronger bond than these band mates and it's truly an incredible story.

Bring on the narration team of Tor Thom and Charley Ongel to enhance this book. Their performance let my heart sing in happiness and cry in heartbreak. Thom is incredible as always with his deep baritone voice, but he does not only play the hot rockstar, He digs deep and gives us that deep pain that Trey feels and has us feeling it too. Ongel brings it all to us. From the strong, pregnant Layla to the sound of the children, she is the strength in this story, adding so much to the bond of the family. I could feel it all with these two.

Excellent Audible book!

What a wonderful story filled with so many ups and downs. This story grabbed me from the beginning and was hard to stop listening to. It is filled with the love of family both blood related and friendship related. It will have you laughing and crying. New members will make their entrance and a beloved member will be lost. Members will struggle to find their way. As usual Tor Thom and Charley Ongel did a fantastic job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters. They definitely make this a listening delight. I asked to receive this Audible book and voluntarily wrote this unbiased review. I highly recommend this Audible book.

Wild Ride

Omg! How I've missed this family! This series is one of my favorites! Ann has done it again! I loved this story so much! It was hard to put it down! This story had pulled me in from the first chapter! I got to read along with the audio and the narration was superb along with the writing! Ann's writing makes you feel as though you know the characters like they were your friends! The story is full of surprises! An emotional rollercoaster! I loved every minute of the ride! Thank you Ann!! Muwah! xo

better than 5 stars

This was my first book in the Back Up series! I will be going back to read the rest. I was a mess after this story. I just sat at the end asking myself what just happened. I ran the entire gamut of emotions and just sat stunned. I was not even able to remember to breathe. It touched home with me as I watched a friend go through a similar life changing event and that made this story seem so real to me. Jack and Leila are two very strong characters and at times felt like a lifeline. I loved how close the band was and it just shows that families are all shapes and sizes and sometimes, not even blood related. I had no idea what I was in for, and the ride this story took me on was unforgettable.

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel brought these characters to life. Keeping the character's separate and easy to follow, Tor and Charley narrated the character's as I imagined them to be. But Tor and Charley have a way of narrating that brings all the emotions to life. As the characters feel pain, so does the listener. I felt as if I was a part of the band's family and right there with them. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel enhanced the experience of this book. It is a must listen to!

A great emotional read!

Wow! This is a crazy ride of emotions! I have not even read any of these previous books and I am stunned. I can only imagine my attachment if I have read the series.
The writing in this is phenomenal! This author makes me really really feel for all of these character. And that Epilogue?!?! Both of them!?! Outstanding. Perfect just perfect!

This is a first time author for me. I loved her writing style. It was so easy to follow and made the story enjoyable. I did listen to this on audio. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel were amazing as always! They really make me believe in the story and the characters.

Emotional

I think I really missed out by starting this series with book 5 instead of from the beginning. Even so, it was heartbreaking and emotional with lots of ups and downs and twists and turns. The characters were all likable, and I really enjoyed the story. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel work very well together and did a great job bringing this story to life. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

I have not read any of the previous books in this series and I was a little concerned going in that I would not be able to follow it, particularly since I believe that this is the last one in the series.
The narration from Tor Thom and Charley Ongel was spot on and they really brought the characters to life for me. This was an emotional and at times heartbreaking story that was well written with strong characters who will certainly tug on your heartstrings.
