"Thoughtful and thought-provoking." (Publishers Weekly)
I have read many books my Deepak, but frankly he churns the same thing over and over. The story of his father is touching, but how many books can you tell that story? If he read this book himself it may have been more interesting.
The title. A secret has to exist for someone to know it or to reveal it. If you rely on science, reason and critical thinking, it is difficult to acknowledge and accept most of the secrets in this book. For the most part, the book is fiction and the secrets are also fiction.
Something from Michael Shermer
The narrator did a good job. He tried to present the material in a calm and soothing voice. You can tell that he is trying to make you believe things that are difficult to believe.
Yes. Reject mysticism and supernatural ideology and rely on science, reason and critical thinking. We can’t make things up about the unknown. If we do not know it is OK to say so!
For those who think there are forces that can communicate with the human brain that cannot be explained by science and that somehow the human brain can survive biological death in some type or state of energy ,then the secrets in the book may provide some comfort and perhaps some inspiration.
After my first listen, I think this is a lovely book that goes into depth regarding spiritual ideas. I like that Deepak Chopra's work tends to encompass ideas from so many ideologies and scientific theories. To me, his work contains so much breadth yet manages to stay concise and readable. One thing...the narrator here does have a nice voice, but I am a big fan of Deepak's voice and narration, especially his most recent audiobooks. Would love to hear this narrated in his own voice.
All the secrets makes sense. Kudos to Dr. Chopra. Daniel Passer has read this in a best possible way. Dr Chopra s narration is always the best and I heard the secrets in this book.
Dr. Deepak Chopra always get in to the target. You are more than a body and a mind. You are spirit and more. The reality of life is in you and Dr. Chopra explain each area of consciousness very clear. Narrator voice is pleasant to hear.
I just travelled throughout time and history with Deepak at the helm. He just showed me the portal to everything. Before this book I was enlightenment bound, but now I am beyond seeking and catapulted into knowing. Wow!
when i downloaded for free from the library, they one i purchased from audible.com will not download from windows media player and was downloaded as one big eight hour song, i will never purchase from audible.com again
the book yes from you no
He is great but your service is not.n
Your service and help online was the pits
Everything you need to raise your level of consciousness and your vibration. So great. A feel good book
This book is not read by Deepak Chopra and the narrator lacks Chopra's charm and enthusiasm. I find my mind drifting after 5 minutes of listening because the narrator is completly unengaging and frankly the content seems far more superficial from what I expected from Deepak Chopra.
I've made a habit of reading Depak Chopras work to better understand how people can believe his brand of pseudoscientific bunk. This new edition strikes me as both the least credible (and given prior junk that says something), but also the least interesting. I would say that Mr. Chopra is running out of ideas, because this book, more than all those that came before it is just a rehashing of old mindless bunk. Mr. Chopra may be a charlatan, but in the past he at least has been more original in his particular brand of snake oil, I'd say that even fans of his work will find this work dissapointing.
