"A Sure Treatment of Social Anxiety
    "

This Book is really a wonderful piece delivered out of experience and skill, with deep knowledge and wisdom. The author is more than a Doctor but I will say she is also a phycho therapist. she knows the right person to convey the message through good quality and excellent narration, this is no exception to her exceptional use of words and grammatical expressions.

If you are suffering from anxiety of any sort, especially of societal cause, this audio book is the right material you need to overcome it and be free and happy...

"Really helped me to improve my anxiety struggle!"
Would you listen to Social Anxiety again? Why?

I'd definitely listen to this again. I've suffered with social anxiety from a young age and nothing has really managed to help - Until now. Counselling, medication, pushing myself etc have all failed but this is the one resource I feel has actually helped me to at least some what get rid of my anxiety.

Whenever I feel like it's creeping back in I think I'll end up giving this another listen to help myself feel better.

What other book might you compare Social Anxiety to and why?

The author has some other books about anxiety and I feel like this ties in well with them - Personally I feel like this one has helped the most, although the others also offer a good insight into helping your anxiety. I prefer this book as it goes specifically into anxiety in the workplace rather than in general, and as this is something I'm forced to struggle with on a daily basis I feel like it's helped me more.

What about Susan Kruth’s performance did you like?

I found that her voice worked well with the subject matter - As it's a book on anxiety, it was definitely soothing and calming to hear her voice. It relaxed me and I feel like it helped me to focus on it more, her tone and accent were very engaging.

I felt like she was incredibly invested in the reading and felt like she could empathise with me and she also made it very clear when she was reading key points by putting emphasis on these parts and making sure to enunciate more.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely! It's a convenient length to listen to in one go and despite being non-fiction, I found it gripping as I wanted to do whatever I could to help improve my anxiety. As I mentioned, I felt engaged by the narrator which definitely helped me to listen to this in one go.

    Any additional comments?

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to conquer their social anxiety, especially in the workplace. Nothing else has helped me as much as this has and I'd also recommend the author's other works. All of the tips in this are easy to both understand and implement, and the author clearly knows what she's dealing with - She managed to make a hard to talk about topic much easier to talk about, and I admire this. This has been a definite life changer for me and I can see myself using it again in future should I need to.

"A Highly Effective Guide for a Happier Life"
What did you love best about Social Anxiety?

The fact that the book stated several simple and helpful tip to overcome social anxiety. This is a great resource for developing one's emotional intelligence.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There were no characters per se. However, I loved the approach of the author in discussing her ideas and the narrator's style of speaking.

Which character – as performed by Susan Kruth – was your favorite?

I loved her softer tone of voice because it made me feel relaxed as I listened to the book. This is yet another seminal guide from Jennifer Alison.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, it made me laugh. While noting the author's points and her recommendations, I noticed the truth in the fact that social anxiety is a negative emotion that only exists in the mind of the sufferer.

    Any additional comments?

This is a seminal resource for anyone looking to overcome social anxiety which stems from irrational fears in the mind. Jennifer Alison has yet again, in this work, asserted herself as a very skilled therapist with her numerous tips on meditation, relaxing the mind, interacting smoothly with people at workplace; just to mention a few.

"Become the person you were always meant to be."
Would you consider the audio edition of Social Anxiety to be better than the print version?

I would definitely consider the audio edition of this book better than the print version. The audio narrator helps you overcome your social anxiety by being empathetic. You can hear that through her voice. She really cares about the listener and conveys that not only through the authors words but her prologue and epilogue where she provides her own advice and recommendations which are incredibly useful.

What other book might you compare Social Anxiety to and why?

There is actually another book that looks at social anxiety by the same author but doesn't go as much into detail about anxiety in the workplace. This book specifically focuses on that so that's why I like this one in regards.

Which character – as performed by Susan Kruth – was your favorite?

    The narrator

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Social Anxiety?

There are several insights I will apply from the book such as saying positive things to myself, meditation, and complimenting other people. By complimenting other people I can make myself happy. Honest compliments make both myself and the receiver feel great. I can meditate for 10 minutes a day which clears the negative thoughts and toxins out of my body. Lastly, reinforcing positive thoughts will help me be more confident and eliminate any negative thinking. This all helps get rid of social anxiety.

    Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book to all my friends and family. If you are looking for a book that will help you get rid of social anxiety in the workplace then this is the one for you. A few months after implementing the tips and advice in this book I was able to hold several public speaking events at work. I was able to present without feeling anxiety and I learned to love myself. That is invaluable. You owe it to yourself to become a better you.

    Any additional comments?

I've had social anxiety for years and have tried several books, audio books and even hypnosis. This book worked best and although it says 1 week its more realistic to say 2. Maybe as mine was so bad, but listened to it 3 times over and already people are noticing the change in me. really a life changer, no doubt!

"Good advice, narrator may be hard to get used to"
    Any additional comments?

Social Anxiety is one of the most common types of anxiety. It can pop up not only in one’s social life, but also their work life. In order to succeed in the workplace, however, it is important for people with social anxiety to move past it in order to succeed in the workplace. In this guide, Alison helps listeners to look closely at workplace-based social anxiety, handle different kinds of situations, how to recognize the symptoms, and how to confront one’s symptoms without letting them control them. She also provides ideas for relaxation, meditation, and mantras to help listeners as they work towards overcoming their social anxiety.

Alison’s guide is comprehensive, effective, and helpful. Without feeling preachy, the author helps listeners to take action, do exercises to understand their social anxiety, and improve their workplace environment. Her “change how you think” and it will change how you see things approach is universal to not only workplace scenarios, but also every day. Alison’s background and experience in professional psychology brings weight to her arguments and makes her advice more convincing. It would be nice, however, to have some additional resources for further topic exploration. Narrator, Susan Kruth is a little monotone and not as animated as some of the other narrators of Alison’s books, but she does emphasize the important parts that are necessary for listeners to grasp. Her softer tones help to relax the listener, which complements the point Alison is trying to get across to people. Overall, I’d recommend this book to people who are ready to make a change in how they perceive the workplace.

"Amazingly Helpful book on Social Anxiety"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Of course yes. I have actually recommended it to many and most of them have come to thank me later. Most people are suffering from social anxiety, and this book provides all the advice, skills and practices you require to undertake in overcoming the illness. It therefore serves as a great guide and its importance is abundant.

What about Susan Kruth’s performance did you like?

Though being the first time to listen to her narration, I must admit her performance was completely great. Her accent rhymed with the important points and she emphasized clearly on the key points.

What did you learn from Social Anxiety that you would use in your daily life?

I have learnt that social anxiety is self-created and can be rationalized into small manageable chunks once you learn how to internalize it. I have adopted this mentality to ensure that I manage my social anxiety to prevent it from diminishing my thinking ability and improve relations in workplace.

    Any additional comments?

For years, I have been attending a therapy and also taking medications. This follows my social anxiety which have been affecting me especially in my place of work. When under pressure, I would find myself not thinking properly, sweating and having an increased heart rate. I ended up being actively addicted to the internet searching for all information on social anxiety but all I got was repetition of the same nonsense content. I still consider coming across this book as a miracle. The book has enabled me to create an inner awareness, accept how I am and manage my mental illness positively. Using the in depth advice provided by the author has enabled me to be happier and feel safe in my workplace and interact with fellow workers excellently. I would highly recommend those afflicted with social anxiety to get this book to and implement the solid advice given to cure social anxiety.

"This has really helped me socially"
    Any additional comments?

Not the most pleasant subject in the world and one I was finding very tough to discuss with friends and family. I was relieved to find this book. I had owned the print version for about a year and although I really enjoyed its, it was with the audio version that it really came alive. Something about actually hearing a human voice giving advice makes it so much easier to take and understand. If you have problems with social anxiety in general and in particular at work, then this is the book for you. It is a slow process but I feel myself getting better each and every day.

What did you like most about Social Anxiety?

Unlike other books of its kind which are often too vague for my liking, this book talks specifically about social anxiety at work which is exactly what I needed. I find office politics extremely anxiety provoking and I've always struggled when speaking to my boss. This book gets straight to the point and offers some very helpful advice! I feel so much more relaxed at work these days and my confidence has improved dramatically. Buy this book! It works and it works FAST!

Really good book which personally helped me a lot. This may not help everyone, nor do they claim it will, but i can really say this is the first book I felt actual real progress with. I started to feel a bit better pretty soon after getting this. I feel I still have a long journey to go to be totally “cured” from social anxiety issues but having tried at least 20 other books this really is the first one of any real use!

    Any additional comments?

In varying degrees (from so bad I avoided job interviews for a while and was unemployed to just general shyness and awkwardness at work) I have suffered from social anxiety for years which is always exaggerated in work situations, which are often more pressured. Meetings are a really bad one for me, or just small chat or asking for a raise, stuff like that. Even answering the phone gets to me at time. This book is not the ultimate cure but i can sincerely say it really put me on the right track and i am seeing improvements every week. I feel i have a while to go but at least i have turned the corner and i put it down to a mixture of this book and myself just implementing the advice they give. Thank
    you.

    "I learnt a lot"
Would you consider the audio edition of Social Anxiety to be better than the print version?

Sure, absolutely. The way Susan Kruth guided me through made her an irreplaceable asset, one thing which the print version couldn't have had provided.

What other book might you compare Social Anxiety to, and why?

i don't have an other book like this and this one, this is an amazing book indeed that helped me out a lot.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The time when we would get rid of our anxiousness, our worries, that I enjoyed the most.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Let them go, Let anxiety go.

    Any additional comments?

Yeah! this book helped me out a lot, with all the pressure I had, a nervous breakdown was certain but I really am relieved that things won't go that way again.
