After reading Anatomy Of The Spirit I began to read some of the other author's books. This was far down that list yet proved one of the most helpful books I've ever read. Firstly, it crystallized how and why it's paramount to not make any promises to my self that I'm willing to break. For whatever reason, Over the years I've broken promises I've said like, "I'm never going to eat this much again ! Ugh!" .... Or, I'll do that right after I finish this" or, "I'm going to start that project this week"etc. without realizing the damage its done and the important impact it has on self esteem. She speaks of many things, mind you, it's just that right now , for me, this stood out. As with all beautiful Caroline's books, I'll be reading it over again for more of her generous golden nuggets she's left. Oh, I'm so very glad she became an author, teacher and lecturer!
This is a masterpiece of life changing life giving information. A must for any and every one.
I will dissect over and over again as the work to be done isn't done in one quick listen, one swoop. It's a work of progress, dedication and time.
The tools provided by Myss in this presentation can produce powerful and effective results. Self-Esteem is chopped full of practical guidance to accomplish great things.
Thank you, Carolyn Myss, for listening to spiritual guidance and the inner voice that led you to be a conduit of such great healing to so many.
Self Esteem is a complex yet essential subject. Caroline Myss brings a lot of insights into the subject, but being a speech - the listener will have to focus on her points and insights.
Caroline Myss has a lot to offer. She is one of the most profound and unique minds in the field of self-help, self-realisation and healing today.
We can't elevate our self-esteem by knocking others. Plus simple meditations about dealing with negative comments.
Caroline Myss is Caroline Myss. She walks and talks the talk. It's a very personal subject for her. However, that said, sometimes we need to review details as there are layers to the information she is presenting.
Quite a few things.
I found her stories entertaining but this book is a bit boring and too simple for me. I understand and know all the things she talks about. I thought this book would dive deeper instead of just touching the surfaces.
OMG this is terrible! This lady drones on for over 4 hours of sleep inducing vagueness. She tries to over explain everything to the point where she makes no sense at all, and appears to lose her train of thought constantly. Her nasally voice is so annoying it is torture to listen to. She is in a world of her own, like someone on LSD... as you listen to her, you keep asking yourself WTF?
I think my self esteem and self respect is lower now because I allowed myself to get ripped off. Walk away (if not run) from this one. I hate the fact that self serving people like this author (and I use the term loosely) are even in business.
The book started quite well, focussing on key points as well as ended as well quite well, focussing on what one must do i.e. action items, however the middle portion went into meditation, new age stuff , which was a bit fuzzy to follow.
I know might Caroline do not prefer to hear appreciation words, but i would say most authors try to sell their books to make living and to make the world a better place and it is good, but Caroline do not sell her books the same manner, instead she is bridging the law of heavens and the law of our life , and I see she is a true messenger ,thanks Caroline
This is awful. I had to stop when she started talking about the spirit going through a birth canal. New age spriritual mumbo-jumbo to the max. This title stole 20 minutes of my life, and I want it back!
Okay I'm in marketing so fluffy right brained stuff is fine with me. This woman is just boosting her own self esteem by hearing herself talk. She's a disorganized parade of metaphors without enough charisma to pull it off. Get "Confidence"by Rossbeth Moss Kanter, much better, even if you're not into sports.
